Accidental Injury Benefit definition

Accidental Injury Benefit means additional Cover provided on certain levels of Cover as the result of an Accident.

Examples of Accidental Injury Benefit in a sentence

  • If a Plan Participant incurs medical expenses for treatment or services as a direct result of a traumatic bodily injury sustained solely by accidental means, the Plan agrees to pay one hundred percent (100%) of the Allowable Charge for such medical expenses actually incurred up to the maximum amount per Benefit Period shown in the Schedule of Benefits for this Accidental Injury Benefit.

  • For services associated with an Accidental Injury, this Copayment shall not apply until the Enhanced Accidental Injury Benefit (see #9 below) has been exhausted.

  • After the Enhanced Accidental Injury Benefit has been exhausted, all remaining allowable charges for covered laboratory and radiology services are subject to the Deductible, Coinsurance and/or Copayment/Copay amounts required for other covered services.

  • The maximum Accidental Injury Benefit that we can pay per Life Insured is $50,000.

  • Dental services and treatment are not a Benefit of this Plan, except as specifically included in the Dental Accidental Injury Benefit.

  • For services associated with an Accidental Injury, this Copayment shall not apply until the Enhanced Accidental Injury Benefit (see #8 below) has been exhausted.

  • If a Life Insured is covered for the Accidental Injury Benefit, it will be shown on the Policy Schedule.

  • If a Member incurs medical expenses for treatment or services as a direct result of a traumatic bodily injury sustained solely through accidental means, We agree to pay one hundred percent (100%) of the Allowable Charge for such medical expenses actually incurred, up to the maximum amount per accident shown in the Schedule of Benefits for this Accidental Injury Benefit.

  • The Accidental Injury Benefit is payable in the amount specified if the Life Insured suffersan Accidental Injury event as listed in this document, on proof satisfactory to us.

  • The initial admission must be covered by the Accidental Injury Benefit for any follow up admissions (within 90 days)to be covered as well.This product information is intended as a summary only and should be read in conjunction with the Policy Booklet.

  • Accidental Injury means an Injury sustained as a result of an external force or forces that is/are sudden, direct and unforeseen and is/are exact as to time and place. A hernia of any kind will only be considered as an Illness.

  • Bodily injury means bodily injury, sickness or disease sustained by a person, including death resulting from any of these at any time.

  • Serious bodily injury means bodily injury which involves a substantial risk of death, extreme physical pain, protracted obvious disfigurement or protracted loss or impairment of the function of a bodily member, organ or mental faculty.
