Acting Warden. - shall mean, the most recent Past Warden who is a member of Council. If none, it shall mean the Councillor with the longest continuous service.

Acting Warden means that if the Warden’s absence is extended for more than 60 days or at the discretion of Council, Council may from among its members elect an Acting Warden (as per Part 6) who, during such absence or vacancy or refusal to act, shall have the powers of the Warden.
