Agricultural preserve definition

Agricultural preserve means an area devoted to either agricultural use, as defined in subdivision (b), recreational use as defined in subdivision (n), or open-space use as defined in subdivision (o), or any combination of those uses and which is established in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
Agricultural preserve means an area devoted to either agricultural use, recreational use as defined in subsection (h) or an open space use as defined in subsection (i) or any combination of such uses, and compatible uses as designated by the Department.
Agricultural preserve means a contract between a landowner and Santa Cruz County establishing that certain land will be used only for agricultural purposes for a minimum of 10 years. The 10-year period is renewed every year. In recognition of this land use restriction, the landowner may receive preferential taxation on that land.
