AI System means a machine-based system that is designed to operate with varying levels of autonomy and that may exhibit adaptiveness after deployment, and that, for explicit or implicit objectives, infers, from the input it receives, how to generate outputs such as predictions, content, recommendations, or decisions that can influence physical or virtual environments;
AI System means a system that is either software-based or embedded in hardware devices, and that displays behaviour simulating intelligence by, inter alia, collecting and processing data, analysing and interpreting its environment, and by taking action, with some degree of autonomy, to achieve specific goals;

Examples of AI System in a sentence

  • Therefore, the classification as high-risk does not only depend on the function performed by the AI system, but also on the specific purpose and modalities for which that system is used.

  • When necessary for their mandate, existing supervision and enforcement authorities will also have the power to request and access any documentation maintained following this regulation and, where needed, request market surveillance authorities to organise testing of the high-risk AI system through technical means.

  • For other, non-high-risk AI systems, only very limited transparency obligations are imposed, for example in terms of the provision of information to flag the use of an AI system when interacting with humans.

  • The proposal builds on existing legal frameworks and is proportionate and necessary to achieve its objectives, since it follows a risk-based approach and imposes regulatory burdens only when an AI system is likely to pose high risks to fundamental rights and safety.

  • The classification of an AI system as high-risk is based on the intended purpose of the AI system, in line with existing product safety legislation.

AI System has the meaning provided in NIST AI RMF 1.0, as may be amended from time to time.
AI System means an AI system as defined in [Article 3 (1) of the AI Act];
AI System means a system that displays intelligent behaviour by analysing certain input and taking action, with some degree of autonomy, to achieve specific goals. AI- systems can be purely software-based, acting in the virtual world, or can be embedded in hardware devices;
AI System means any Artificial Intelligence (including without limitation any generative Artificial Intelligence), large language model, or machine learning system or algorithm.
AI System means the Contractor’s proprietary technological system that, autonomously or partly autonomously, processes data through the use of a genetic algorithm, a neural network, machine learning, large language models, or other techniques in order to generate content or make decisions, recommendations, or predictions—including all computer software (and all modifications, updates, and upgrades thereto); physical hardware; and associated specifications, Documentation, and Training Instructions, as may be further described in an Order or Statement of Work. [Drafting Note: This definition could also reference any third-party systems used by the Contractor.]
AI System means any system, tool, software or other application that is developed to use artificial intelligence technology and can, for a given set of human-defined objectives, generate outputs such as content, predictions, recommendations, or decisions;
AI System deep learning, machine learning, and other artificial intelligence technologies, systems, models, tools and functionality, including Generative AI.
