Anthropogenic carbon dioxide definition

Anthropogenic carbon dioxide or "man-made carbon dioxide" means the carbon dioxide compound manufactured, mechanically formed or otherwise caused to occur, as a result of either:
Anthropogenic carbon dioxide or "Man-Made CO2" means carbon dioxide that is formed mechanically as opposed to carbon dioxide that naturally occurs or is from natural processes such as respiration and decay. It includes, for example, carbon dioxide from power generation, manufacturing, or other similar sources.
Anthropogenic carbon dioxide means carbon

Examples of Anthropogenic carbon dioxide in a sentence

  • Anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions are taken up by the terrestrial biosphere and the oceans at first relatively rapidly.

  • Anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions (i.e. emissions produced by human activities) come from combustion of carbon based fuels, principally wood, coal, oil and natural gas.

  • Anthropogenic carbon dioxide is causing global warming and this will lead to irreversible sea-level rise on human timescales even when emissions were to reduce drastically to reach greenhouse gas stabilization in the atmosphere.

  • Anthropogenic carbon dioxide removal from the atmosphere is an important measure in the majority of emission scenarios that limit warming to 1.5°C or 2°C.

  • Anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions represent the main cause of climate change [1].

  • The main underlying characteristics of the prediction scenarios are summarised in Figures 2.4 and 2.5 and Table 2.1.Figure 2.4: Anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions for IPCC scenarios (Met Office Hadley Centre, 2003).Table 2.1: Assumptions made in the main IPCC emissions scenarios used to derive future emissions of greenhouse gases (Met Office Hadley Centre, 2003).

  • Anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions represent the mass of car- bon dioxide produced during the combustion of solid, liquid, and gaseous fuels, as well as from gas flaring and the manufacture of cement.

  • Anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) invasion has been identified as the primary driver of open ocean acidification over decadal time scales, but coastal ocean acidification is influenced by many other physical, biological, and anthropogenic processes that can oppose or amplify the anthropogenic85 CO2 uptake.
