Approved Program of Study definition

Approved Program of Study means a program of study approved for the purposes of Ontario Student Grants and Ontario Student Loans under the MTCUA.
Approved Program of Study means a program of study approved in accordance with subsection 7 (1);
Approved Program of Study means a program of study approved for student loan and other OSAP purposes pursuant to the Performance Requirements.

  • These are minimum requirements, however, and it is incumbent on an Approved Institution to be able to demonstrate that it has reasonable grounds to conclude that the students admitted to an Approved Program of Study have the ability to meet the specific requirements of the program to which the student is being admitted.

  • A mature student means an applicant who has reached the age of 18 years on or before the commencement of the Approved Program of Study in which he or she intends to enroll, who does not have an OSSD or equivalent credential, or does not have a diploma or degree from an Ontario postsecondary institution or an equivalent credential.

  • The Approved Institution shall notify the Minister of any student receiving assistance under OSAP who has not successfully earned a credential by the end date of the student’s Approved Program of Study.

  • CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT PROCESS The Approved Institution shall electronically confirm that the student is registered, has enrolled in and is attending classes in the Approved Program of Study and update the student's income information stated on his or her OSAP application, as required by the Ministry’s confirmation of enrolment process identified in “Confirmation of Enrolment Procedural Overview”.

  • For the purposes of this section, book costs are not compulsory fees.4.2 The Approved Institution shall not require a student to redirect funds to the Approved Institution from any loan or grant issued under OSAP as a condition of enrolment, registration, placement, or delivery of an Approved Program of Study.


More Definitions of Approved Program of Study

Approved Program of Study means a program of study approved for the purposes of Ontario Student Grants and Ontario Student Loans under the MTCUA, excluding programs of study approved for the purposes of Ontario Learn and Stay Grants under the MTCUA.
Approved Program of Study means those child welfare- related undergraduate and graduate degree programs designated by the corporation on an annual basis and published on the corporation’s website conducted by an institution situated in the State, which has been approved and operating in this State for at least one year, and has been approved for participation in federal student financial aid programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended.
