Arguments definition

Arguments here and in similar contexts means arguments of functions (i.e. z in cos z and sin z) and not the arguments of complex numbers (in the context of representing a complex number by its modulus and argument as explained in 1.3). In fact, the readers should be aware of this multiple use of “argument” throughout the book to avoid misunderstanding.
