Artesian pressure definition

Artesian pressure means water pressure in an aquifer sufficient enough to cause the groundwater level in a well to rise above the level at which it was encountered in the well whether or not the water flows at the ground surface.
Artesian pressure means groundwater under sufficient hydrostatic head to rise above the rock unit containing the aquifer.
Artesian pressure means the pressure in a confined aquifer created by the overlying and underlying confining units.
