Assistive Care Services definition

Assistive Care Services or “ACS” means a state payment for services provided by qualified residential care facilities. Funds transferred from the Department of Children and Families to Medicaid draw down federal Title XIX matching funds. This Medicaid optional state plan service is for low-income people who live in qualified assisted living facilities (ALFs), adult family-care homes (AFCHs) and residential treatment facilities (RTFs).
Assistive Care Services. A Medicaid service as defined in the Assistive Care Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook. Authoritative Host — A system that contains the master or “authoritative” data for a particular data type (e.g., enrollee, provider, Managed Care Plan, etc.).   • PREVENTIVE CARE SERVICES means covered healthcare services performed to prevent the occurrence of disease as defined by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). See Preventive Care and Early Detection Services in Section 3.
