Away From Home Care definition

Away From Home Care means urgent care, Away from Home Emergency Care, routine care, and follow-up care as defined in the HMO-USA member’s plan certificate or benefit agreement.
Away From Home Care means Urgent Blue Care, Follow-Up Care, and Guest Program services as defined in the MEDICARE BLUE USA member’s plan certificate or benefit agreement.

  • Covered Services are limited to: (a) Emergency Services and services that are arranged or Referred by your Primary Care Physician in the HMO’s Service Area and Preapproved by the HMO; (b) Urgent Care and Follow-Up Care available through the BlueCard Program; and (c) services provided to a Member registered as a Guest Member under the Away From Home Care Program.

  • The Away From Home Care Program offers portable HMO coverage to Members traveling in a Host HMO Service Area.

  • Home care means care and treatment of an insured under a plan of care established, approved in writing and reviewed at least every 2 months by the attending physician, unless the attend- ing physician determines that a longer interval between reviews is sufficient, and consisting of one or more of the following:

  • Adult foster care means room and board, supervision, and special services to an adult who has a

  • Private sewage disposal system means a system which provides for the treatment or disposal of domestic sewage from four or fewer dwelling units or the equivalent of less than sixteen individuals on a continuing basis.

The provider of a licensed or registered family day home shall disclose to the parents or guardians of children in their care the percentage of time per week that persons other than the provider will care for the children. Family day homes serving five through 12 children, exclusive of the provider's own children and any children who reside in the home, shall be licensed. However, no family day home shall care for more than four children under the age of two, including the provider's own children and any children who reside in the home, unless the family day home is licensed or voluntarily registered. However, a family day home where the children in care are all related to the provider by blood or marriage shall not be required to be licensed.

Health Information Technology (HIT) means the area of information technology involving the design, development, creation, use and maintenance of information systems for the health care industry.

  • Home care services means skilled or personal care

  • Family child care home means a private home in which 1 but fewer than 7 minor children are received for care and supervision for compensation for periods of less than 24 hours a day, unattended by a parent or legal guardian, except children related to an adult member of the household by blood, marriage, or adoption. Family child care home includes a home in which care is given to an unrelated minor child for more than 4 weeks during a calendar year. A family child care home does not include an individual providing babysitting services for another individual. As used in this subparagraph, "providing babysitting services" means caring for a child on behalf of the child's parent or guardian if the annual compensation for providing those services does not equal or exceed $600.00 or an amount that would according to the internal revenue code of 1986 obligate the child's parent or guardian to provide a form 1099-MISC to the individual for compensation paid during the calendar year for those services.

  • At-home recovery visit means the period of a visit required to provide at home recovery care, without limit on the duration of the visit, except each consecutive four (4) hours in a twenty-four-hour period of services provided by a care provider is one visit.

  • Home health care services means medical and nonmedical services, provided to ill, disabled or infirm persons in their residences. Such services may include homemaker services, assistance with activities of daily living and respite care services.
