Balance of System definition

Balance of System means portions of a solar energy system other than the array.
Balance of System or “BOS” means the Tier 1 System Resources other than the six Simulator Projects net of Designated System Obligations. Customers receive a share of the BOS complex in three different ways: via BOS Base Energy, BOS Deviation Return, and BOS Flexibility.
Balance of System items such as breakers, wires, miscellaneous electrical items, etc.

Balance of System means the on-module optimisers, cabling, mounting, inverter(s) and associated equipment, communication equipment, structures, control gear and Grid Tie Access Point within the Project Site, as detailed in the Project Information Manual as are reasonably necessary for and/or ancillary to the installation, erection, commissioning and/or operation of the Solar Facility; and (ii) any upgrades and/or modifications and/or replacements of the aforesaid which may be necessary for the ongoing operation of the Solar Facility;
