Examples of BBC Public Service Rights in a sentence

  • For the avoidance of doubt, the BBC shall be entitled to pay any further use fees due to contributors as agreed under General Term 6.2 above in relation to the exercise of the BBC Public Service Rights directly to the relevant contributors and the BBC shall indemnify the Producer in relation to any failure to do so.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, the BBC shall not be deemed to be in breach of this Agreement or the licence granted under General Term 12.1.1 if any broadcast or transmission of the Programme under the BBC Public Service Rights is capable of being received outside of the UK provided the broadcast or transmission was intended for reception within the UK.

  • The Producer hereby grants to the BBC during the Licence Period the irrevocable and royalty-free BBC Public Service Rights (and insofar as any such rights are not in existence as at the date of this Agreement then such grant of rights shall operate as a present grant of such future rights).

  • The ownership of the copyright in each of the short films made by the Producer for the Programme, but excluding the BBC Public Service Rights which shall be granted to the BBC in perpetuity, will be vested in the Producer.

  • The BBC shall notify the Producer of its intention to exercise such option (a) within nine (9) months of transmission of the last episode of the Programmeif commissioned other than for BBC3, or (b) within nine (9) months of first exercise of the BBC Public Service Rights in the last episode of the Programme if commissioned for BBC3, or (c) twelve (12) months from acceptance of Full Delivery whichever is earlier (the “Option Period”).

  • Merchandise/Books/OtherDay after either (i) 1st exercise of the BBC Public Service Rights of the relevant programme / episode commissioned for BBC Three, or (ii) 1st BBC tx or 7 days following first BBC Public Service use of the relevant programme / episode commissioned other than for BBC Three, or (iii) 6 months from acceptance of Full Delivery, whichever is the earlier but without prejudice to any pre-existing seriesexploitation).

  • Library Sales In accordance with the BBC's Library Sales Release Policy.Day after either (i) 1st exercise of the BBC Public Service Rights of the relevant programme / episode commissioned for BBC Three, or 1st BBC TX or 7 days following first BBC Public Service use of the relevant programme / episode commissioned other than for BBC Three, or (ii) 6 months from acceptance of Full Delivery, whichever is the earlier.

  • The Contract to produce the Programme will run from date of appointment (expected to be on or around 28/07/2017), until full delivery of the Programme, with a licence being granted by the Successful Tenderer to the BBC for BBC Public Service Rights in the Programme in perpetuity.

  • The BBC shall notify the Producer of its intention to exercise such option (a) within nine (9) months of transmission of the last episode of the Programme if commissioned other than for BBC3, or (b) within nine (9) months of first exercise of the BBC Public Service Rights in the last episode of the Programme if commissioned for BBC3, or (c) twelve (12) months from acceptance of Full Delivery whichever is earlier (the “Option Period”).

  • The BBC may commission certain projects which are intended to feature in the BBC’s public serviceKnowledge and learning online ‘product’ where a broader set of BBC Public Service Rights may need to be acquired, for example, in relation to the BBC’s extract rights in such content.

Related to BBC Public Service Rights

  • former public servant means a former member of a department as defined in the Financial Administration Act, R.S., 1985, c. F-11, a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces or a former member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and includes:

  • the public service means, subject to the provisions of this section, the service in a civil capacity of the Government;

  • Public servant means a person who is employed by, or who holds any office or other position in, a public service body;

  • public service means the public service referred to in section 1(1) of the Public Service Act, 1994 (promulgated by Proclamation No. 103 of 1994), and includes any organisational component contemplated in section 7(4) of that Act and specified in the first column of Schedule 2 to that Act, but excluding-

  • Law relating to a public servant s office or employment” means a law that specifically applies to a person acting in the capacity of a public servant and that directly or indirectly imposes a duty on the public servant or governs the conduct of the public servant. Penal Code 39.01(1)

  • Garage-Public means a building or portion thereof, designed other than as a private garage, operated for gain, designed and/or used for repairing, servicing, hiring, selling or storing or parking motor-driven or other vehicles.

  • Original Public Sector Employee means a former employee of the Crown or other public sector body who as a result of the application of the TUPE Regulations, in relation to what was done for the purposes of carrying out a contract for the provision of services which were equivalent of or similar to the Services, becomes or became an employee of someone other than the Crown or other public sector body.

  • Public Service Commission means the Public Service Commission constituted under this Constitution;

  • State public body means any city, town, incorporated village, county, metropolitan district, or other subdivision or public body of the state.

  • The public means one or more natural or legal persons, and, in accordance with national legislation or practice, their associations, organizations or groups;

  • Public Service Act ’ means the Public Service Act, 1994 (Proclamation No. 103 of 1994);

  • public service vehicle means any motor vehicle used or adapted to be used for the carriage of passengers for hire or reward, and includes a maxi cab, a motorcar, contract carriage and stage carriage.

  • Public sewer means a sewer in which all owners of abutting properties have equal rights, and is controlled by public authority.

  • South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.

  • public sector body means an entity within the ‘public sector’, the latter term as defined in Article 3 of Council Regulation (EC) No 3603/93 of 13 December 1993 specifying definitions for the application of the prohib­ itions referred to in Articles 104 and 104b(1) of the Treaty (1),

  • South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.

  • Public Sector Entity means a non-commercial administrative body responsible to central governments, regional governments or local authorities, or to authorities that exercise the same responsibilities as regional governments and local authorities, or a non-commercial undertaking that is owned by or set up and sponsored by central governments, regional governments or local authorities, and that has explicit guarantee arrangements, and may include self-administered bodies governed by law that are under public supervision;

  • CAISO Global Resource ID means the number or name assigned by the CAISO to the CAISO- Approved Meter.

  • public service infrastructure means publicly controlled infrastructure of the following kinds:

  • Electric public utility means a public utility, as that term is

  • Virginia Stormwater Management Program authority or "VSMP authority" means an authority approved by the State Board after September 13, 2011, to operate a Virginia Stormwater Management Program.

  • Company Systems means the computer and data processing systems, maintenance service agreements, and information, recordkeeping, account management, account management, communications technologies and other computer systems (including all computer programs, software, databases, firmware, hardware and related documentation) and Internet websites and related content used in the businesses of the Company and its Subsidiaries.

  • Retail marijuana store means an entity licensed to purchase Retail Marijuana from a Retail Marijuana Cultivation Facility and to purchase Retail Marijuana Product from a Retail Marijuana Products Manufacturing Facility and to sell Retail Marijuana and Retail Marijuana Product to consumers.

  • the BCTF Plan means the Group RRSP entered into by the Federation and Royal Trust or a successor to that plan;

  • Retail tobacco store means a retail store utilized primarily for the sale of tobacco products and accessories and in which the sale of other products is merely incidental.

  • Virginia Stormwater Management Program or “VSMP” means a program approved by the State Board after September 13, 2011, that has been established by a locality to manage the quality and quantity of runoff resulting from land-disturbing activities and shall include such items as local ordinances, rules, permit requirements, annual standards and specifications, policies and guidelines, technical materials, and requirements for plan review, inspection, enforcement, where authorized in this article, and evaluation consistent with the requirements of this article and associated regulations.
