Health Canada means the section of the Canadian Government known as Health Canada and includes, among other departments, the Therapeutic Products Directorate and the Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate;
Child welfare agency means a child-placing agency, child-caring institution or independent foster
CCMA means the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration established in terms of section 112 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995;
e-commerce means buying or selling of goods or services including digital products over digital or electronic network;
Cayman Companies Act means the Companies Act (as revised) of the Cayman Islands.
Raw agricultural commodity means any food in its raw or natural state including fruits that are washed, colored, or otherwise treated in their unpeeled natural form before marketing.
Public Sector Entity means a non-commercial administrative body responsible to central governments, regional governments or local authorities, or to authorities that exercise the same responsibilities as regional governments and local authorities, or a non-commercial undertaking that is owned by or set up and sponsored by central governments, regional governments or local authorities, and that has explicit guarantee arrangements, and may include self-administered bodies governed by law that are under public supervision;
Website of the European Central Bank means the website of the European Central Bank currently at http://www.ecb.europa.eu or any successor website officially designated by the European Central Bank.
Public safety employee means a public employee who is employed as one of the following:
Health and Welfare Plans means any Benefit Plan that was established or is maintained for the purpose of providing for its participants or their beneficiaries, through the purchase of insurance or otherwise, medical (including preferred provider organization, exclusive provider organization, and high deductible health plan coverages), dental, prescription, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life and accidental death and dismemberment, employee assistance, group legal services, wellness, cafeteria (including premium payment, health flexible spending account, and dependent care flexible spending account components), travel reimbursement, transportation, or other benefits in the event of sickness, accident, disability, death, or unemployment, vacation benefits, apprenticeship or other training programs, day care centers, scholarship funds, or prepaid legal services, including any such plan, fund, or program as defined in Section 3(1) of ERISA.
relevant Minister means the Secretary of State or the Minister for the Cabinet Office;
Securities Act (Ontario) means the Securities Act, R.S.O., 1990, S.5, as amended, and the regulations and rules thereunder, and any comparable or successor laws or regulations or rules thereto;
Australian Corporations Act means the Corporations Act 2001 of Australia;
PPACA means the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111-148), as amended by the federal Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (Public Law 111-152), and any rules, regulations, or guidance issued thereunder.
Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) means the Government Agency responsible for oversight of public procurement.
Canadian Securities Regulatory Authorities means, collectively, the securities regulatory authority in each of the provinces and territories of Canada;
Council of Ministers means the Council of Ministers of the Community established by Article 9 of the Treaty;
reporting issuer shall have the meaning set forth in Section 6.2.
agricultural holding means a portion of land not less than 0.8 hectares in extent used solely or mainly for the purpose of agriculture, horticulture or for breeding or keeping domesticated animals, poultry or bees;
Asian American means a person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, or the Pacific Islands, including but not limited to Japan, China, Vietnam, Samoa, Laos, Cambodia, Taiwan, Northern Mariana Islands, the Philippines, a U.S. territory of the Pacific, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, or Sri Lanka and who is regarded as such by the community of which this person claims to be a part.
Qualifying Provinces means, collectively, all of the provinces of Canada except Québec.
Rural health clinic means a rural health clinic as defined under section 1861 of part C of title XVIII of the social security act, chapter 531, 49 Stat. 620, 42 U.S.C. 1395x, and certified to participate in medicaid and medicare.
Ontario Health means the corporation without share capital under the name Ontario Health as continued under the CCA;
Resulting Issuer means the issuer that was formerly a CPC that exists upon issuance of the Final Exchange Bulletin.
Educational organization means a nonprofit public or private elementary or
Agricultural commodity means all agricultural, aquacultural, silvicultural, horticultural, floricultural, or viticultural products, livestock or livestock products, Christmas trees, bees, maple syrup, honey, commercial fish or fish products, and seeds produced in this state, either in their natural state or as processed by the producer of the commodity. The kinds, types, and subtypes of products to be classed together as an agricultural commodity for the purposes of this act shall be determined on the basis of common usage and practice.
