Benefit Multiplier definition

Benefit Multiplier shall be equal to 2.0 except that if Executive's Termination of Employment is pursuant to Paragraphs 6(b) or 6(c) it shall be equal to 3.0.
Benefit Multiplier means (a) with respect to a Tier I Executive, two (2); and (b) with respect to a Tier II Executive, one (1).
Benefit Multiplier means (a) with respect to a Tier I Executive, two (2) for purposes of Section 5.1(b) and Section 6.1(b); and (b) with respect to a Tier II Executive, one (1) for purposes of Section 5.1(b) and Section 6.1(b).

  • A Participant’s Annual Plan Benefit is the product of (i) his Final Average Annual Pay, (ii) his Future Service period, (iii) the Annual Benefit Multiplier and (iv) his Vested Percentage.

  • If the Participant's employment is terminated under circumstances which entitle the Participant to Separation Benefits under this Section 4.1, for the period equal to the number of years times the applicable Benefit Multiplier after the Date of Termination, a Tier 1 Participant and a Tier 2 Participant shall be entitled to a reasonable amount of outplacement services, the scope and provider of which shall be selected by the Participant in his or her sole discretion.

  • The Annual Benefit Multiplier shall be 2% for each of the first twenty years of a Participant’s full calendar years of Future Service and 1% for each calendar year thereafter.

  • If the Employer maintains a defined benefit plan, the Plan is not Super Top Heavy and the Employer elects to utilize the greater multiplier for dollar limitations in the denominator of the defined benefit and defined contribution fractions, the Minimum Benefit Multiplier is three percent (3%) rather than two percent (2%).

  • The monthly amount of such Retirement Pension shall be equal to the Participant’s Local 371 Credited Service multiplied by the Benefit Multiplier in effect on the date the Employee ceased to be an Employee (or if earlier, the date he/she ceased to be a Local 371 Eligible Employee).3.2 Early Retirement Pension A Participant who has attained his/her Early Retirement Age while an Employee and retires from Employment prior to Normal Retirement Age shall be entitled to receive a monthly Retirement Pension.

  • Pay to such Severance Participant, if he or she is enrolled in the Company’s medical, dental and/or vision benefit programs on the Date of Termination, a lump sum amount equal to the difference between (i) the premium cost for COBRA continuation coverage, and (ii) the required contribution rate that would be charged to an active employee for that coverage, each determined as of the Date of Termination; multiplied by the Benefit Multiplier.

  • For any Contract Year in which the Enhanced Benefit is taken, the annual Benefit amount will be equal to: 1)the Benefit Percentage, as determined under the Benefit Amount provision of this Rider on the Benefit Start Date; multiplied by 2) the Benefit Base Amount on the date that the payment is to be made; and multiplied by 3) the Enhanced Benefit Multiplier, as set out on the Rider Specifications page.

  • Severance Multiplier means, with respect to any termination of Employee’s employment hereunder by the Company without Cause or by Employee with Good Reason, 1; provided, however, that in the event such termination occurs within the two (2) year period following a Change in Control, the Severance Multiplier shall instead equal 2.

  • Applicable Multiplier means, with respect to any Rate Period for any Series of RVMTP Shares, the percentage set forth opposite the applicable credit rating most recently assigned to such Series by the Rating Agency in the table below on the Rate Determination Date for such Rate Period: Long-Term Ratings* Fitch Applicable Multiplier AAA to AA- 100% A+ to A- 000% BBB+ to BBB- 140% *And/or the equivalent ratings of any other Rating Agency then rating the RVMTP Shares utilizing the highest of the ratings of the Rating Agencies then rating the RVMTP Shares.

  • Multiplier means 1.0.

  • Maximum Benefit Amount means the maximum amount payable for coverage provided to You as shown in the Schedule of Benefits.

  • Final Average Earnings means (a) divided by (b) as follows:

  • Capacity Benefit Margin or “CBM” shall mean the amount of firm transmission transfer capability preserved by the transmission provider for Load-Serving Entities (“LSEs”), whose loads are located on that Transmission Service Provider’s system, to enable access by the LSEs to generation from interconnected systems to meet generation reliability requirements. Preservation of CBM for an LSE allows that entity to reduce its installed generating capacity below that which may otherwise have been necessary without interconnections to meet its generation reliability requirements. The transmission transfer capability preserved as CBM is intended to be used by the LSE only in times of emergency generation deficiencies.

  • Final Average Compensation means the aggregate amount of a member's compensation earned within the averaging period in which the aggregate amount of compensation was highest divided by the member's number of years, including any fraction of a year, of credited service during the averaging period. The averaging period shall be 36 consecutive calendar months if the member contributes to the member investment plan except for a member who contributes to the member investment plan and first became a member on or after July 1, 2010; otherwise, the averaging period shall be 60 consecutive calendar months. A member who contributes to the member investment plan and first became a member on or after July 1, 2010 shall also have an averaging period of 60 consecutive calendar months. If the member has less than 1 year of credited service in the averaging period, the number of consecutive calendar months in the averaging period shall be increased to the lowest number of consecutive calendar months that contains 1 year of credited service.

  • Target Bonus Percentage means, with respect to any Executive, the target bonus percentage specified for such Executive in his or her Employment Agreement.

  • Annual Benefit means an annual sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) multiplied by the Applicable Percentage (defined below) and then reduced to the extent required: (i) under the other provisions of this Agreement; (ii) by reason of the lawful order of any regulatory agency or body having jurisdiction over the Employer; and (iii) in order for the Employer to properly comply with any and all applicable state and federal laws, including, but not limited to, income, employment and disability income tax laws (eg., FICA, FUTA, SDI).

  • Severance Multiple means 2.50; provided, however, that notwithstanding the foregoing, for each full month that elapses during the period beginning on the date the Executive attains age 63 and ending on the date the Executive attains age 65, the Severance Multiple shall be reduced by an amount equal to the product of (i) 1/24 and (ii) the excess of (A) the original Severance Multiple set forth above over (B) 1.0 (rounded to the nearest hundredth).

  • Final Average Pay means the participant’s average monthly compensation in the highest three calendar years of compensation out of five consecutive calendar years of employment during a period of eligibility service by the Company or an Affiliate. Years separated by a period of one or more calendar years when the participant has no such eligible employment shall be treated as consecutive. Additional compensation paid at retirement or other Separation from Service, such as for periods of unused vacation or sick leave, shall be attributed to calendar years by assuming that employment continued during the period based on which the compensation is measured. Severance pay shall be disregarded, except severance pay in lieu of service.

  • Maximum Benefit means the maximum benefit amount of each of the benefits covered under this Policy as stated in the Schedule of Benefits.

  • Annual Earnings means your gross annual income from your Employer, not including shift differential, in effect just prior to the date of loss. It includes your total income before taxes. It is prior to any deductions made for pre-tax contributions to a qualified deferred compensation plan, Section 125 plan or flexible spending account. It does not include income received from commissions, bonuses, overtime pay or any other extra compensation or income received from sources other than your Employer.

  • Average Compensation means the average of your W-2 wages from the Company for the five (5) calendar years completed immediately prior to the calendar year in which the Change in Control is effected. Any W-2 wages for a partial year of employment will be annualized, in accordance with the frequency which such wages are paid during such partial year, before inclusion in Average Compensation.

  • Benefit Amount shall have the meaning set forth in Section 20.12 hereof.

  • Average Monthly Compensation means the quotient determined by dividing the sum of the Employee’s then current Base Salary (as defined in Section 4.1 hereof) and the greater of the most recently paid Incentive Compensation (as defined in Section 4.2 hereof) or the average of Incentive Compensation paid over the three most recent years by twelve.

  • Annual Benefit Limit means the maximum amount of benefits paid by the Company to the Policy Holder in a Policy Year irrespective of whether any limits of any benefit items stated in the Benefit Schedule have been reached. The Annual Benefit Limit is counted afresh in a new Policy Year.

  • Base Period Income is an amount equal to Executive's "annualized includable compensation" for the "base period" as defined in Sections 280G(d)(1) and (2) of the Code and the regulations adopted thereunder. Generally, Executive's "annualized includable compensation" is the average of Executive's annual taxable income from Company for the "base period," which is the five calendar years prior to the year in which the Change of Control occurs. These concepts are complicated and technical and all of the rules set forth in the applicable regulations apply for purposes of this Agreement.

  • Final average salary means whichever of the following is greater:

  • Target Bonus Amount means Executive’s target annual bonus amount in effect at the time of Executive’s Qualifying Termination (disregarding any decrease in such target annual bonus amount that constitutes a Good Reason event).

  • total earnings means all of the dentist's gross earnings from the practice of dentistry by him in person, and "NHS earnings" means the dentist's gross earnings from the provision by him in person of general dental services under the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, as amended, including where the dentist's name is included in sub-part A of the first part, or Part A prior to 2 July 2010, of two or more dental lists in Scotland, but neither his total earnings nor his NHS earnings shall be taken to include any remuneration by way of salary;

  • Accumulation Period Factor means, for any Collection Period, a fraction with:

  • Benefit year means the period of twelve consecutive months, July 1 through June 30, as established by an employer in which an employee shall accrue and use earned sick leave as provided pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11D-2, provided that once the starting date of the benefit year is established by the employer it shall not be changed unless the employer notifies the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development of the change in accordance with regulations promulgated pursuant to the Act. The Commissioner shall impose a benefit year on any employer the Commissioner determines is changing the benefit year at times or in ways that prevent the accrual or use of earned sick leave by an employee.

  • Defined Benefit Fraction means a fraction, the numerator of which is the sum of the Participant's Projected Annual Benefit under all the defined benefit plans (whether or not terminated) maintained by the Employer, and the denominator of which is the lesser of 125 percent of the dollar limitation determined for the Limitation Year under Code ss.ss.415(b) and (d) or 140 percent of the Participant's Highest Average Compensation, including any adjustments under Code ss.415(b). Notwithstanding the above, if the Participant was a Participant as of the first day of the first Limitation Year beginning after December 31, 1986, in one or more Defined Benefit Plans maintained by the Employer which were in existence on May 6, 1986, the denominator of this fraction shall not be less than 125 percent of the sum of the annual benefits under such plans which the Participant had accrued as of the close of the last Limitation Year beginning before January 1, 1987, disregarding any changes in the terms and conditions of the plans after May 5, 1986. The preceding sentence applies only if the Defined Benefit Plans individually and in the aggregate satisfied the requirements of Code ss.415 for all Limitation Years beginning before January 1, 1987.

  • Payout Period means the time frame during which certain benefits payable hereunder shall be distributed. Payments shall be made in monthly installments commencing on the first day of the month following the occurrence of the event which triggers distribution and continuing for a period of one hundred eighty (180) months. Should the Executive make a Timely Election to receive a lump sum benefit payment, the Executive's Payout Period shall be deemed to be one (1) month.

  • Target Bonus means Executive’s annual (or annualized, as applicable) target bonus in effect immediately prior to Executive’s Qualifying Termination or, if Executive’s Qualifying Termination occurs during the Change in Control Period and the amount is greater, Executive’s annual (or annualized, if applicable) target bonus in effect immediately prior to the Change in Control.
