Benefit overpayment definition

Benefit overpayment means a payment of unemploy- ment insurance benefits in an amount exceeding the amount of benefits to which a person was lawfully enti- tled.
Benefit overpayment means the amount of benefits paid to a claimant to which it is subsequently determined the claimant was not entitled by reason of disqualification, ineligibility, or reduction in entitlement.
