Bereavement Days definition

Bereavement Days as per occurrence: a. Up to five (5) days shall be granted in the event of the death of immediate Family (i.e. spouse, children, parents, siblings, in-laws, grandparents Grandchildren, and any person living in the home of the teacher} b. Up to one (1) day for the extended family of the teacher.(i.e. aunt, uncle, cousin, niece, nephew) c. In the event of the death of an employee or student in the district, An appropriate number of teachers (not to exceed 10%) shall be granted sufficient release time to attend the funeral. d. Additional days not to exceed one (1) may be granted by the CSA in the case of the death of a niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law.

Examples of Bereavement Days in a sentence

  • Bereavement Days - Death in the Immediate Family Bus drivers shall be given three (3) bereavement days per death per year and shall be non- cumulative.

Related to Bereavement Days

  • parental bereavement leave means leave under section 80EA of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

  • School Days means days when school is in session for students.

  • Bereavement Pay Benefits means the benefits as set out in Article II hereof.

  • Paid sick leave – means paid leave under the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act.

  • Accrued Day(s) Off means the paid day(s) off accruing to an employee resulting from an entitlement to the 38 hour week as prescribed in Clause 6. - Hours of this award.

  • Weeks Pay' means the ordinary time rate of pay for the employee concerned:

  • Work Days means judicial days (or a day when the court is open).

  • Day/Days means calendar days, inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

  • Working Days means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in England and Wales; and

  • Week means seven consecutive days.

  • Holidays are defined as New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

  • Sick Leave means the period of time an employee is absent from work by virtue of being sick or disabled or because of an accident not covered by Workers' Compensation.

  • Work Day means any day that an Employee is regularly scheduled to work and for which the Employee receives payment from the Employer.

  • School day means any day or partial day that students are in attendance at school for instructional purposes.

  • Paid leave means time away from work by an employee for which the employee receives compensation. Paid leave is limited to sick time, vacation time, compensatory time, and leave that is provided as an aggregate amount for use at the discretion of the employee for any of these purposes. Paid leave does not include paid short-term or long-term disability, catastrophic leave, or similar types of benefits.

  • Workweek means any week during which a Class Member worked for Defendant for at least one day, during the Class Period.

  • statutory parental bereavement pay means a payment to which a person is entitled in accordance with section 171ZZ6 of the Social Security Contribution and Benefits Act 1992;

  • commencement day means the day on which the State Administrative Tribunal (Conferral of Jurisdiction) Amendment and Repeal Act 2004 Part 2 Division 129 comes into operation;

  • Observation Shift Days means the number of London Banking Days specified in the relevant Final Terms; and

  • Days means calendar days unless otherwise specified.

  • Duty Days means all days during the taxable year from the beginning of the professional athletic team’s official preseason training period through the last game in which the team competes or is scheduled to compete.

  • Vacation means annual vacation with pay.

  • Peak Hours or “Peak Period” means the period with the highest ridership during the entire transit service day as determined by the transit operator. Must include at least one hour during the morning commute hours and one during evening commute hours, Monday through Friday. Each Peak Period cannot be longer than three hours.

  • A week means seven days without regard to the number of hours worked in any day in that week.

  • Intermittent Leave means leave taken in separate blocks of time due to a single qualifying reason.

  • Illness means a sickness or a disease or pathological condition leading to the impairment of normal physiological function which manifests itself during the Policy Period and requires medical treatment.
