Brackish Water definition

Brackish Water means water that because of a high concentration of TDS is not suitable for human consumption or agricultural use without treatment.
Brackish Water means estuarine waters with salinities transitional between marine and fresh water, i.e. estuarine waters having salinities between 1 and 10 parts per thousand.

  • Fresh water means water having a specific conductivity less than a solution containing six thousand (6,000) parts per million of sodium chloride.
