Business need definition

Business need as referred to in this policy means the need of a County employee to use a County vehicle for official County business; as opposed to personal use of a County vehicle, including after business hours use, weekend use, and non- County business use during work hours. This specifically excludes assignment of vehicles based on an employee's rank, management status or other category that does not reflect vehicle use based on the employee's actual day-to-day duties. Business use is further defined as vehicle use that is required in order to perform functions that are necessary for the County department to fulfill its duties and responsibilities as authorized by the County Ordinance Code, and State and Fed- eral law.
Business need means a decision by Ardelyx to reduce or cease Manufacture of Product in connection with major changes to its business strategy or Product markets, substantively unrelated to any breaches or failures of Hovione as otherwise regulated herein. Business Need may include, by way of example and not limitation, significant changes to Licensee arrangements or Licensee demand, or a significant reduction in the market for the Product in a jurisdiction of the Territory.
Business need means specific requirements or circumstances dictated by the nature of the requirements of the contract.

  • In the event that Retrocessionaire believes that Loss Reserves for a Class of Business need to be increased beyond the amount implied by the algorithm set forth in Exhibit B, or the Final Ceding Commission Reserves need to be reduced, Retrocessionaire and Retrocedant will endeavor to agree on an appropriate adjustment.

Business need means a requirement on the part of either a provider or ABCBS in order to facilitate EDI exchange, i.e. a provider or submitter who has a legitimate business need to have their own submitter number in order to receive batch process reports, remittance advice, etc., independent of their clearinghouse. Trading partners, clearinghouses, billing agents, and others will be notified by the provider and/or ABCBS if such a need exists.
