Carbon Rights definition

Carbon Rights means any carbon sequestration credits or offsets, renewable energy credits or similar method of attribution of a value, right or privilege for carbon sequestration that may be used to satisfy limits on carbon dioxide emissions or to reduce taxes, assessments or penalties on carbon dioxide emissions.
Carbon Rights means all right, title and interest in the sequestration and storage of carbon (including but not limited to carbon credits) within the Project Area that results from the Project including, but not limited to, avoided conversion, implementation of the Forest Management Practice, reforestation, and other types of activities, actions or techniques that are recognized as reducing or preventing emissions of greenhouse gases or sequestering/storing greenhouse gases through the use of forests.
Carbon Rights means the right to any benefit or interest which arises or may arise in relation to the act of or the carrying out of carbon sequestration on or in the Designated Area including but not

Examples of Carbon Rights in a sentence

  • Purchaser shall have no claim or right to any Carbon Rights associated with the Property (whether fee or leasehold interest), or, prior to the severance of Product from the Property, with standing, harvested or fallen trees or other vegetation on the Property, but Seller shall not separate any transferable Carbon Rights from Product sold to Purchaser prior to sale.

  • Prior to the severance of the Product from the Property, Seller shall have exclusive Carbon Rights in the Property and in all standing, harvested or fallen trees or other vegetation on the Property.

Related to Carbon Rights

  • Hydrocarbon Interests means all rights, titles, interests and estates now or hereafter acquired in and to oil and gas leases, oil, gas and mineral leases, or other liquid or gaseous hydrocarbon leases, mineral fee interests, overriding royalty and royalty interests, net profit interests and production payment interests, including any reserved or residual interests of whatever nature.

  • Mineral Rights means all rights, whether contractual or otherwise, for the exploration for or exploitation or extraction of mineral resources and reserves together with surface rights, water rights, royalty interests, fee interests, joint venture interests and other leases, rights of way and enurements related to any such rights;

  • Surface Rights means all rights to use the surface of land in connection with the Properties including, without limitation, all rights to enter upon and occupy the surface of land on which the Tangibles and Xxxxx are located and rights to cross or otherwise use the surface of land for access to the Properties;

  • Option Right means the right to purchase Common Shares upon exercise of an option granted pursuant to Section 4 of this Plan.

  • Mining Rights means all interests in the surface of any lands, the minerals in (or that may be extracted from) any lands, all royalty agreements, water rights, patented and unpatented mining and millsite claims, fee interests, mineral leases, mining licenses, profits-a-prendre, joint ventures and other leases, rights-of-way, inurements, licenses and other rights and interests used by or necessary to mining and related processing operations.

  • Other Leases means, collectively, the Lease Agreements between Landlord, or an Affiliate of Landlord, and Tenant with respect to the properties described on Exhibit B, but excluding any Lease Agreements terminated pursuant to their terms or by mutual agreement of the parties.

  • Petroleum and Natural Gas Rights means the entire interest of the Vendor as specified in Schedule "A" in and to the Lands and, insofar as they pertain to the Lands, the Leases.

  • Carbon intensity means the amount of lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions, per unit of energy of fuel delivered, expressed in grams of carbon dioxide equivalent per megajoule (gCO2E/MJ).

  • Oil and Gas Leases means all leases, subleases, licenses or other occupancy or similar agreements under which a Person leases, subleases or licenses or otherwise acquires or obtains operating rights in and to Hydrocarbons or any other real property which is material to the operation of such Person’s business.

  • Appurtenant Rights means (i) all agreements, easements, rights of way or use, rights of ingress or egress, privileges, appurtenances, tenements, hereditaments and other rights and benefits at any time belonging or pertaining to the Land or the Improvements, including, without limitation, the use of any streets, ways, alleys, vaults or strips of land adjoining, abutting, adjacent or contiguous to the Land and (ii) all permits, licenses and rights, whether or not of record, appurtenant to the Land.

  • Capacity Interconnection Rights means the rights to input generation as a Generation Capacity Resource into the Transmission System at the Point of Interconnection where the generating facilities connect to the Transmission System.

  • Lands means the purchase of real property or interest in real property.

  • Easements has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1.3.

  • Ground Leases Those certain leases with respect to real property that is a portion of the Leased Property, pursuant to which Landlord is a tenant and which leases have either been approved by Tenant or are in existence as of the date hereof and listed on Schedule A hereto.

  • Oil and Gas Interests means: (a) direct and indirect interests in and rights with respect to oil, gas, mineral and related properties and assets of any kind and nature, direct or indirect, including, without limitation, working, royalty and overriding royalty interests, mineral interests, leasehold interests, production payments, operating rights, net profits interests, other non-working interests, contractual interests, non-operating interests and rights in any pooled, unitized or communitized acreage by virtue of such interest being a part thereof; (b) interests in and rights with respect to Hydrocarbons and other minerals or revenues therefrom and contracts and agreements in connection therewith and claims and rights thereto (including oil and gas leases, operating agreements, unitization, communitization and pooling agreements and orders, division orders, transfer orders, mineral deeds, royalty deeds, oil and gas sales, exchange and processing contracts and agreements and, in each case, interests thereunder), and surface interests, fee interests, reversionary interests, reservations and concessions related to any of the foregoing; (c) easements, rights-of-way, licenses, permits, leases, and other interests associated with, appurtenant to, or necessary for the operation of any of the foregoing; (d) interests in oil, gas, water, disposal and injection xxxxx, equipment and machinery (including well equipment and machinery), oil and gas production, gathering, transmission, compression, treating, processing and storage facilities (including tanks, tank batteries, pipelines and gathering systems), pumps, water plants, electric plants, gasoline and gas processing plants, refineries and other tangible or intangible, movable or immovable, real or personal property and fixtures located on, associated with, appurtenant to, or necessary for the operation of any of the foregoing; and (e) all seismic, geological, geophysical and engineering records, data, information, maps, licenses and interpretations.

  • Financial Transmission Right Option means a right to receive Transmission Congestion Credits as specified in Operating Agreement, Schedule 1, section 5.2.2(c), and the parallel provisions of Tariff, Attachment K-Appendix, section 5.2.2(c).

  • Personal Property Leases has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1(e).

  • Public Rights-of-Way means the area on, below, or above a public roadway, highway, street, public sidewalk, alley, waterway, or utility easements dedicated for compatible uses.

  • Real Property Interests means all interests in Owned Real Property and Leased Real Property, including fee estates, leaseholds and subleaseholds, purchase options, easements, licenses, rights to access, and rights of way, and all buildings and other improvements thereon and appurtenant thereto, owned or held by Sellers that are used in the business or operations of the Stations, together with any additions, substitutions and replacements thereof and thereto between the date of this Agreement and the Closing Date, but excluding the Excluded Real Property Interests.
