Care of a Qualifying Individual definition

Care of a Qualifying Individual means services, the primary purpose of which is to provide for the Qualifying Individual’s well-being and protection. It does not include the provision of food, clothing or education unless such benefits are incidental to such primary purpose and does not include the provision of education to an individual in kindergarten or any higher grade.

  • Qualifying Individual means an individual aged 18 years or over who is deemed to be resident in the UK for tax purposes. This includes a non-resident who performs duties which by virtue of Section 28 of the Income Tax (Earnings & Pensions) Act 2003 are treated as being performed in the UK (Crown employees serving overseas) or is married to, or is in a civil partnership with a person who performs such duties.

  • Qualified individual means an individual who:

  • Designated Individual has the meaning set forth in Section 10.3.A hereof.

  • Disabled individual means a person older than 13 years of age who by reason of age or physical or mental disease, defect, or injury is substantially unable to protect the person's self from harm or to provide food, shelter, or medical care for the person's self.

  • Qualifying country means a country with a reciprocal defense procurement memorandum of understanding or international agreement with the United States in which both countries agree to remove barriers to purchases of supplies produced in the other country or services performed by sources of the other country, and the memorandum or agreement complies, where applicable, with the requirements of section 36 of the Arms Export Control Act (22 U.S.C. 2776) and with 10 U.S.C. 2457. Accordingly, the following are qualifying countries:

  • Debarred Individual is an individual who has been debarred by the FDA pursuant to 21 U.S.C. §335a (a) or (b) from providing services in any capacity to a person that has an approved or pending drug or biological product application.

  • New Qualifying Jobs means the total number of jobs to be created by the Applicant after the Application Approval Date in connection with the project that is the subject of its Application that meet the criteria of Qualifying Job as defined in Section 313.021(3) of the TEXAS TAX CODE and the Comptroller’s Rules.

  • Key Individual means any individual ultimately responsible for establishing or directing policies and procedures of the licensee, such as an executive officer, manager, director, or trustee.

  • Qualified individual with a disability means an individual with a disability who satisfies the requisite skill, experience, education and other job-related requirements of the employment position such individual holds or desires, and who, with or without reasonable accommodation, can perform the essential functions of such position.

  • New Non-Qualifying Jobs means the number of Non-Qualifying Jobs, as defined in 34 TEXAS ADMIN. CODE Section 9.1051(14), to be created by the Applicant after the Application Approval Date in connection with the project which is the subject of its Application.

  • Pre-Qualifying Criteria means the criteria set out in clause 27.3 of this Part C.

  • Covered individual means a person or entity who is a member of any of the following classes:

  • Qualifying Employee means any employee of Managing Agent or Parent or any of their respective subsidiaries who is and has been an employee of Managing Agent or Parent or any of their respective subsidiaries for at least thirty-six (36) months.

  • Non-Qualifying Party means any Borrower or any Guarantor that on the Eligibility Date fails for any reason to qualify as an Eligible Contract Participant.

  • Protected individual ’ means an individual who (A) is a citizen or national of the United States, or (B) is an alien who is lawfully admitted for permanent residence, is granted the status of an alien lawfully admitted for temporary residence under 8 U.S.C. § 1160(a) or 8 U.S.C. § 1255a(a)(1), is admitted as a refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or is granted asylum under Section 8 U.S.C. § 1158; but does not include

  • CIC Qualifying Termination means, in each case, on or within twenty-four (24) months following a Change in Control, (i) a termination of the Executive’s employment by the Company without Cause, (ii) a termination of the Executive’s employment by reason of death or Disability, or (iii) a termination of the Executive’s employment by the Executive for Good Reason.

  • Qualified employee means an individual who:

  • Self-Employed Individual means an individual who has Earned Income for the taxable year from the unincorporated trade, or business or partnership with respect to which the Plan is established; also, an individual who would have had Earned Income but for the fact such trade, business or partnership had no net profits for the taxable year.
