Child Care Certificate definition

Child Care Certificate means a check or other disbursement that is issued by the contractor directly to a parent who may use the certificate only as payment for child care services. Nothing shall preclude the use of the certificate for sectarian child care services if freely chosen by the parent. A child care certificate is assistance to the parent, not assistance to the provider. 45 CFR Section 98.2

Child Care Certificate means a certificate that is issued directly to a child's caretaker which verifies that the caretaker is eligible for subsidized child care services which the caretaker arranges.

Child Care Certificate means a form issued to a parent or caretaker that permits the parentor caretaker to choose a child care provider who has a contract with DSS.

Examples of Child Care Certificate in a sentence

• Applicable fee amounts must be indicated on the Child Care Certificate provided to each parent.

• When a family is determined to remain eligible at status check, the CCR&R case manager shall issue the DAY-0176 Child Care Certificate to notify the parent of on-going eligibility and/or change of fees.

• When children reach their 2nd, 3rd or 4th birthday, the case manager shall send a new Child Care Certificate (DAY-0176) to the family to give to the provider caring for the child, noting when reimbursement rates change.
