Cooling curve means the graphical relationship between heat units stored and cooling time.
Cooling Water means the water discharged from any use such as air conditioning, cooling or refrigeration, or to which the only pollutant added is heat.
Sanitary Sewer System means all facilities, includ- ing approved LOSS, used in the collection, transmission, storage, treatment, or discharge of any waterborne waste, whether domestic in origin or a combination of domestic, commercial, or industrial wastewater. LOSS are only consid- ered sanitary sewer systems if they are designed to serve urban densities. Sanitary sewer system is also commonly known as public sewer system.
HVAC means heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
Drainage area means a geographic area within which stormwater, sediments, or dissolved materials drain to a particular receiving waterbody or to a particular point along a receiving waterbody.
Slug loading means any pollutant, including oxygen demanding pollutants, released in a discharge at a flow rate and/or pollutant concentration as to cause interference in the POTW.
Meters shall have the meaning set forth in Section 4.6(a) hereof.
Metering System means all meters and metering devices (including current transformers and potential transformers) owned by the Company and used to measure Dependable Capacity and the delivery by the Company and receipt by BPDB of Net Energy Output;
Roof means a non-porous cover for a structure such as (by way of example and not limitation) Lexan barriers or shingles but not a shade trellis, ivy or other open or porous material that may also be used as a cover.
Tank means an enclosed space which is formed by the permanent structure of a ship and which is designed for the carriage of liquid in bulk.
HVAC System is defined in Section 6.10(a)(v).
Sanitary Sewer Overflow or “SSO” means an overflow, spill, diversion, or release of wastewater from or caused by Akron’s Sanitary Sewer System. This term shall include: 1) discharges to waters of the State or United States from Akron's Sanitary Sewer System; and 2) any release of wastewater from Akron's Sanitary Sewer System to public or private property that does not reach waters of the State or the United States, including Building/Property Backups.
Membrane filtration means a pressure or vacuum driven separation process in which particulate matter larger than one micrometer is rejected by an engineered barrier, primarily through a size exclusion mechanism, and which has a measurable removal efficiency of a target organism that can be verified through the application of a direct integrity test. This definition includes the common membrane technologies of microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis.
High-temperature coating means a high performance coating labeled and formulated for application to substrates exposed continuously or intermittently to temperatures above 204oC (400oF).
Plumbing system means water supply distribution and disposal piping on the premises, including appliances and equipment attached thereto, between their connection points to a public or private system.
Pooling Substation/ Pooling Point means a point where more than one Project may connect to a common Transmission System. Multiple Projects can be connected to a pooling substation from where common transmission system shall be constructed and maintained by the WPD(s) to get connected to the ISTS substation. The voltage level for such common line shall be 220 kV or above. Further, the metering of the pooled power shall be done at the injection point, i.e. the ISTS substation. However, the voltage level of transmission system of individual projects up to the pooling substation may be at 33 kV and above. Sub-meters shall be installed at the pooling substation for metering and forecasting and scheduling of individual Projects. The losses in the common transmission system up to the injection point shall be apportioned to the individual Projects for the purpose of billing.
Ventilation means the supply of outside air into a building through window or other openings due to wind outside and convection effects arising from temperature, or vapour pressure differences (or both) between inside and outside of the building;
Electricity means Active Energy and Reactive Energy.
medium voltage means the set of nominal voltage levels that lie above low voltage and below high voltage in the range of 1 kV < Un 44 kV. [SANS 1019]
Cooling Off Period Shall refer to the period of ten (10) calendar days commencing from and including the date of this Contract.
Boiler Fuel means natural gas used as fuel for the generation of steam and in internal combustion turbine engines for the generations of electricity.
Load means energy consumed by Customers together with allocated losses and unaccounted for energy;
water meter means any apparatus for measuring or showing the volume of water supplied to, or of effluent discharged from any premises;
Generator means a device that produces electricity.
Sewer System means pipelines or conduits, pumping stations, force mains, vehicles, vessels, conveyances, injection wells, and all other constructions, devices, and appliances appurtenant thereto used for conducting sewage or industrial waste or other wastes to a point of ultimate disposal or disposal to any water of the state. To the extent that they are not subject to section 402 of the federal Water Pollution Control Act, ditches, pipes, and drains that serve only to collect, channel, direct, and convey nonpoint runoff from precipitation are not considered as sewer systems for the purposes of this part of this division.
drainage installation means a system situated on any premises and vested in the owner thereof and is used for or intended to be used for or in connection with the reception, storage, treatment or conveyance of sewage on that premises to the connecting point and includes drains, fittings, appliances, septic tanks, conservancy tanks, pit latrines and private pumping installations forming part of or ancillary to such systems;
