County volunteer definition

County volunteer means a person who is not a county employee, who performs service for the county for civic, charitable or humanitarian reasons, without promise, expectation or receipt of compensation from the county for services rendered and who is accepted as a volunteer by the county. "County volunteer" includes, but is not limited to, a person serving as a board member, officer, commission member, volunteer intern or direct service volunteer.
