Criminal action definition

Criminal action means an investigation, complaint, arrest, bail, bond, trial, appeal, punishment, or other matter related to conduct proscribed by a criminal offense.5
Criminal action means the proceedings by which a party charged with a public offense is accused and brought to trial and punishment, potentially including imprisonment, is imposed.
