Day Watch definition

Day Watch means a bid assignment shift which starts between the hours of 0500 and 1200.
Day Watch means an assigned shift which starts between the hours of 5 A.M. and 10 A.M.

  • It will be the responsibility of the Day Watch Sergeant or supervisor of the involved employee to notify the Chief of Police Day Watch Sergeant of any incidents requiring board review.

  • The Chief of Police's final findings will be forwarded to the involved employee's Day Watch Sergeant for review and appropriate action.

  • If on-duty at the time of the incident, the member shall file a written report with his/her Day Watch Sergeant or provide a recorded statement to investigators prior to the end of shift, unless otherwise directed.

  • This responsibility can best be fulfilled by MLS personnel deployed during a Day Watch and "floating" PM/AM Watch.

  • LASPA will have the right to designate, pursuant to its own procedures, up to ten (10) unit employees (one (1) for each LASPD division of which there are currently six (6); one (1) for the P.M. Watch; one (1) for the Morning Watch; and one (1) for Watch 3; and one (1) for Day Watch) to serve as LASPA's representatives.
