Dental Procedure definition

Dental Procedure means dental treatment provided to a Subscriber of Covered Dependent by a Provider and reported to Delta Dental using the Code on Dental Procedures and Nomenclature (CDT).
Dental Procedure means dental treatment provided by a Dentist or other individual licensed under state law to provide the treatment and reported to DDVA by the authorized responsible licensee using the Code on Dental Terminology (CDT).
Dental Procedure means any dental procedure involving manipulation, cutting, or removal of oral or perioral tissues, including tooth structure during which bleeding occurs or the potential for bleeding exists. The term does not include the brushing of teeth.

  • The Coinsurance and Deductible will apply regardless of which Dental Procedure is selected.

  • Delta Dental will pay the applicable MPA for the least expensive Dental Procedure that is adequate to restore the tooth or dental arch to contour and function, but only if the more expensive Dental Procedure is a Benefit of this Contract.

  • The Subscriber or Covered Dependent will be responsible for either the remainder of the Provider’s fee if a more expensive covered Dental Procedure is selected or the entire fee if the more expensive Dental Procedure is not a Benefit.

  • Dental Procedures are considered for Benefits if they are incurred during the Contract Term and a claim is filed within one year after the date on which the Dental Procedure is incurred.
