Dental Procedure definition

Dental Procedure means dental treatment provided to a Subscriber of Covered Dependent by a Provider and reported to Delta Dental using the Code on Dental Procedures and Nomenclature (CDT).
Dental Procedure means any dental procedure involving manipulation, cutting, or removal of oral or perioral tissues, including tooth structure during which bleeding occurs or the potential for bleeding exists. The term does not include the brushing of teeth.
Dental Procedure means dental treatment provided by a Dentist or other individual licensed under state law to provide the treatment and reported to DDVA by the authorized responsible licensee using the Code on Dental Terminology (CDT).

  • Any Dental Procedure performed solely for cosmetic/aesthetic reasons.

  • Any Dental Procedure not directly associated with dental disease.

  • The following definitions are in addition to those listed in the Definitions section of the Certificate of Coverage: Covered Dental Service – a Dental Service or Dental Procedure for which benefits are provided under this endorsement.
