Depth definition

Depth. , in respect of a building, means the measured distance between the front line of the building and the back line of the rear main wall which separates the main building from the open space;
Depth in relation to a net, shall mean the distance from the cork line, buoyant line or other line on which the net is slung to the lead line or to the bottom of the net if there is no lead line such distance to be measured when the cork line, buoyant line or other line on which the net is slung is taut and the lead line or the bottom of the net, if there is no lead line, is hanging free and out of water;
Depth means the vertical distance at amidships from the top of the keel plate to the uppermost continuous deck, fore and aft, and which extends to the sides of the vessel.
