Designated Senior Nurse definition

Designated Senior Nurse is defined as a Registered Nurse who is appointed by the Employer into a designated senior Registered Nurse role and paid on the Senior Registered Nurse Scale.
Designated Senior Nurse means a nurse who is appointed to a designated senior position. "Duty/shift" means a single, continuous period of work required to be given by an employee, excluding on-call. A duty shall be defined by a starting and finishing time. Duties shall be morning (AM), afternoon (PM), swing duties or night duties.

  • This will be provided to those in Designated Senior Nurse, Designated Senior Midwife & Nurse Practitioner positions over the first 12 months of being appointed.

  • Movement between Designated Senior Nurse and Senior Grades shall be on the basis of appointment to a higher graded position.

  • These allowances do not apply to Designated Senior Nurse positions.
