Disability Pensioner definition

Disability Pensioner means a person who is a recipient of a Disability Pension from the Province of Ontario, a Canada Disability Pension, a War Veteran's Pension or who is registered with the Canadian Institute for the Blind, as confirmed by the appropriate authority;
Disability Pensioner means a person who is a recipient of the Ontario Disability Support Program (O.D.S.P), Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (A.C.S.D), Canada Pension Plan Disability (C.P.P.D), Veteran’s Disability Pension or Canadian Institute for the Blind (C.N.I.B).

  • The employee is now considered a Police Disability Pensioner and is no longer in an active employment status.

  • A Disability Pensioner on a Trial Work Period is not subject to the suspension of pension payments described in this section.

  • If the Social Security reinstatement notice is filed more than 90 days after the date of the notice, the Disability Pension under this Plan will be effective the first of the month following the date such notice is filed with the Board of Trustees.A Disability Pensioner who loses entitlement to a Social Security or Railroad Retirement Disability Award may re-enter Covered Employment and will thereupon resume benefit accrual under the terms of the Plan.

  • Return to Covered Employment by a Disability Pensioner (Disability Trial Work).

  • A person is entitled to only one pension under this Plan, except that a Disability Pensioner who recovers may be entitled to a different type of pension.

  • Disability Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 8.

  • Death Benefit means the insurance amount payable under the Certificate at death of the Insured, subject to all Certificate provisions dealing with changes in the amount of insurance and reductions or termination for age or retirement. It does not include any amount that is only payable in the event of Accidental Death.

Thereafter, you must be unable to perform all of the material duties of any occupation which you may reasonably become qualified based on education, training or experience, or are subject to the terms of a Rehabilitation Plan approved by the Insurance Company.

  • Total Disability means a “permanent and total disability” within the meaning of Section 22(e)(3) of the Code and such other disabilities, infirmities, afflictions or conditions as the Committee by rule may include.

  • Retirement Benefits means benefits paid by reference to reaching, or the expectation of reaching, retirement or, where they are supplementary to those benefits and provided on an ancillary basis, in the form of payments on death, disability, or cessation of employment or in the form of support payments or services in case of sickness, indigence or death.
