Diverse Business Enterprise definition

Diverse Business Enterprise means a diverse business enterprise, which shall consist of SBEs and women, minority, disabled veteran, lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender business enterprises, as more particularly set forth in CPUC General Order 156. {Comment: placeholder for Agreement term}
Diverse Business Enterprise has the meaning set forth in Section 4.05(c).
Diverse Business Enterprise means any business located within the United States of America or US territory and that is at least fifty-one percent (51%) unconditionally owned and operated by a person(s) who is either a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States or of a U.S. territory and is recognized by the U.S. Government as a: Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE), Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and/or Transgender Owned Business Enterprise (LGBTBE), Small Disadvantaged Business (DBE), Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Veteran-Owned Business (VBE), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (DVBE), or HUBZone Business.

Examples of Diverse Business Enterprise in a sentence

  • No later than twenty (20) calendar days after each semi-annual period ending on June 30th or December 31st during the Term, Seller shall provide to Buyer a report listing all Diverse Business Enterprises that supplied goods or services to Seller during such period, including any certifications or other documentation of such Diverse Business Enterprises’ status as such and the amount paid to each Diverse Business Enterprise during such period.

Related to Diverse Business Enterprise

  • Women Business Enterprise (WBE) as used in this policy means a business enterprise that meets all of the following criteria:

  • minority business enterprise means any small contractor or supplier of materials fifty-one percent or more of the capital stock, if any, or assets of which is owned by a person or persons: (1) who are active in the daily affairs of the enterprise, (2) who have the power to direct the management and policies of the enterprise, and (3) who are members of a minority, as such term is defined in subsection (a) of Connecticut General Statutes § 32-9n; and

  • Disadvantaged Business Enterprise means a for-profit small business concern that is at least 51% owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged individuals or, in the case of a corporation, in which 51% of the stock is owned by one or more such individuals; and whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged individuals who own it.

  • Active business operations means all business operations that are not inactive business operations.

  • Inactive business operations means the mere continued holding or renewal of rights to property previously operated for the purpose of generating revenues but not presently deployed for such purpose.

  • Veteran-owned Small Business Enterprise (VSBE) means A business that is verified by the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as a veteran-owned small business. See Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 21.11.13.
