The purpose of this agreement is to allow the Early Hearing-loss, Detection, Diagnosis, and Intervention (EHDDI) Program to exchange case information with the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) Program.
The County is the approved Local Lead Agency for the Washington Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Program (ESIT).
The Contractor shall provide one (1) or more of the Early Intervention Services listed below, as defined by Washington State’s Federally Approved Plan for the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Program Department of Early Learning Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Early Intervention Section at: xxxx://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx/publications/esit/ Only services provided in natural environments are funded in this Statement of Work.
Initial IFSP within 45 days of referral are monitored and tracked through the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Data Management System.
DEL also partners with Thrive Washington to provide home visiting services, provides community grants and public awareness to prevent abuse and neglect, administers the Medicaid Treatment Child Care program, oversees the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers program, and sets policy for the Working Connection Child Care and Seasonal Child Care and Homeless Child Care subsidy programs.
Documentation for eligibility and provision of services will be reviewed by the State Lead Agency for IDEA Part C (Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Program (ESIT)) staff to assure compliance with applicable Washington Administrative Codes (WACs) and IDEA Part C requirements.
Transition Steps and Services are monitored and tracked through the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) Data Management System (DMS).
The Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) program has developed a State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) to improve social-emotional outcomes for children who receive early intervention services.
Local Interagency Agreement will be submitted to Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT), as required in Exhibit D, Deliverables Schedule of this ESIT Contract by September 30th of each fiscal year and/or as revisions are made.
