Educational credit definition

Educational credit means a reduction in a person’s term of imprisonment or confinement awarded for participation in an educational, vocational, rehabilitative, or other program.
Educational credit is based on advanced in-service training at a rate of one (1) training day equals one (1) credit.

Examples of Educational credit in a sentence

  • Educational credit (horizontal movement) on the salary scale shall be given for college degrees and credits.

  • Educational credit will not pertain to in-service training as provided in D-5.1.   • Educational credit will be granted upon the employee's verification to the District office that such work has been satisfactorily completed.

  • Educational credit which would entitle the teacher to advance horizontally on the salary schedule are such educational credits and courses which would have been approved by the Superintendent or his/her designee in writing prior to the beginning of such credit or course.

  • Educational credit that would entitle a teacher to advance horizontally on the salary schedule must be completed prior to the beginning of the school year.

  • Universal Credit means any payment of Universal Credit payable under the Welfare Reform Act 2012, the Universal Credit Regulations 2013, The Universal Credit (Consequential, Supplementary, Incidental and Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 2013, Universal Credit (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2013 and the Universal Credit (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2014;

  • operational creditor means a person to whom an operational debt is owed and includes any person to whom such debt has been legally assigned or transferred;

  • Federal credit means the Low Income Housing Tax Credit established by the federal government for the purpose of encouraging the development of affordable housing and governed by the Code.

  • Educational facility means a structure available for use as a dormitory or other housing facility, including housing facilities for students, a dining hall, student union, administration building, academic building, library, laboratory, research facility, classroom, athletic facility, health care facility, and maintenance, storage, or utility facility, and other structures or facilities related thereto or required or useful for the instruction of students or the conducting of research or the operation of an institution for higher education, including parking and other facilities or structures essential or convenient for the orderly conduct of the institution for higher education, and shall include lands and interests in lands and landscaping, site preparation, furniture, equipment, machinery, and other similar items necessary or convenient for the operation of a particular facility or structure in the manner for which its use is intended, and any improvements necessary to a particular facility to make the facility more energy efficient. Educational facility does not include items as books, fuel, supplies, or other items the costs of which are customarily deemed to result in a current operating charge and does not include any facility used or to be used for sectarian instruction or as a place of religious worship, nor a facility which is used or to be used primarily in connection with a part of the program of a school or department of divinity for a religious denomination.

  • Additional Credit Facilities means any credit facilities added pursuant to Sections 2.22, 2.23 or 9.02(c).

  • recreational craft means a ship of any type, with a hull length of 2.5 metres or more, regardless of the means of propulsion, intended for sports or leisure purposes, and not engaged in trade;

  • Principal Credit Facility means any loan agreement, credit agreement, note purchase agreement, indenture or similar document under which credit facilities in the aggregate original principal or commitment amount of at least $20,000,000 are provided for.

  • Federal credit union means a credit union chartered under the Federal Credit Union Act.

  • Housing Provider means, with respect to a HOME Development, Local Government, consortia approved by HUD under 24 CFR Part 92, for-profit and Non-Profit Developers, and qualified CHDOs, with demonstrated capacity to construct or rehabilitate affordable housing.

  • Dual credit means the system under which an eligible high school student enrolls in college course(s) and receives credit for the course(s) from both the college and high school.

  • Education program means any program that is principally engaged in the provision of education, including, but not limited to, early childhood education, elementary and secondary education, postsecondary education, special education, job training, career and technical education, and adult education, and any program that is administered by an educational agency or institution.

  • Educational loan means a loan made by the authority to an institution.

  • Additional Credit Party means each Person that becomes a Guarantor by execution of a Joinder Agreement in accordance with Section 5.10.

  • Credit means the right granted by a creditor to a debtor to defer payment of debt or to incur debt and defer its payment.

  • Original Credit Agreement shall have the meaning assigned to such term in the recitals hereto.

  • Service Level Credit is defined in Section 8.

  • Vocational education means organized educational programs that are directly related to the preparation of individuals for paid or unpaid employment, or for additional preparation for a career not requiring a baccalaureate or advanced degree.

  • ABL Credit Facility means the senior secured asset-based revolving loan facility and the term loan facilities made pursuant to the ABL Credit Agreement.
