Eligible renewable energy resources definition

Eligible renewable energy resources means resources as defined in § 39-26-5.
Eligible renewable energy resources means any of the following: (1) an eligible renewable energy resource, as defined in Public Utilities Code Section 399.12(c) as of the date of adoption by ARB of this article;20/ (2) any hydroelectric generation facility of 50 megawatts or less that is located within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council but outside of the United States, provided that the facility has obtained the approvals required to demonstrate compliance with the environmental and other land use regulations of the governing jurisdiction;21/ or (3) is otherwise recognized as a RES Qualifying Resource as provided in this article.22/
Eligible renewable energy resources or “eligible renewable” means a technology other than a conventional power source, as defined in Section 2805 of the Public Utilities Code, that uses one of the following energy sources, provided that a power source usingtilizing more than 25 percent fossil fuel may not be included:

  • Renewable energy resource means a resource that naturally replenishes over a human, not a geological, time frame and that is ultimately derived from solar power, water power, or wind power. Renewable energy resource does not include petroleum, nuclear, natural gas, or coal.
