Emergency Privileges definition

Emergency Privileges means those Clinical Privileges granted already existing Practitioners to provide emergency treatment outside the scope of their existing privileges in order to save the life, limb, or organ of a patient as provided in Section 6.9 of these Bylaws.
Emergency Privileges means those Clinical Privileges granted during an emergency as more specifically provided in Section 5.8 of these Bylaws.

Examples of Emergency Privileges in a sentence

  • The VP and CEO, the President of the Clinical Staff, or the Chair of the Credentials Committee may grant Emergency Privileges for the period required to supplement normal patient care services during the emergency as more specifically provided in the Credentials Manual.

  • Every practitioner practicing at UH by virtue of Medical and Dental Staff membership or otherwise shall in connection with such practice, be entitled to exercise only those clinical privileges specifically recommended by the Medical and Dental Staff in accordance with the process provided herein and granted by the Board of Trustees, except as may be provided in these Bylaws with respect to Temporary, Interim and/or Emergency Privileges.

  • Section 6.4 Emergency Privileges For the purposes of this Section, an “emergency” is defined as a condition in which serious or permanent harm would result to a patient (or other individual) or in which the life of a patient (or other individual) is in immediate danger and any delay in administering treatment would add to that danger.

  • Locum Tenens practitioners will be assigned the medical staff category of Associate – Clinical Privileges Only.3.4-3 Emergency Privileges.

  • A Practitioner exercising Emergency Privileges is obligated to summon all necessary consultative assistance and to arrange for appropriate follow-up care.
