Emissions unit definition

Emissions unit means any part or activity of a stationary source that emits or has the potential to emit any regulated air pollutant or any pollutant listed under Section 7412(b) of the FCAA. This term is not meant to alter or affect the definition of the term "unit" for purposes of Title IV of the FCAA.
Emissions unit means any part of a stationary source that emits or would have the potential to emit any regu- lated NSR pollutant and includes an electric utility steam generating unit as defined in paragraph (b)(31) of this section. For purposes of this section, there are two types of emissions units as described in paragraphs (b)(7)(i) and(ii) of this section.
Emissions unit means any part of a stationary source which emits or would have the potential to emit any air pollutant.

Examples of Emissions unit in a sentence

  • Emissions unit A emits200 tons/yr of NO , 100 tons/yr of SO , andanalyses, we developed model plants (EGUs X 2and non-EGUs), with representative plume and stack characteristics, for use in considering the visibility impact from emission sources of different sizes and compositions at distances of 50, 100 and 200 kilometers from two hypothetical Class I areas (one in the East and one in the West).

  • Emissions unit B002 (Boiler No. 7) is a wet bottom, pulverized coal-fired boiler (Combustion Engineering model VU-405) having a maximum heat input capacity of 422 million Btu per hour, capable of firing number 2 fuel oil as backup fuel, and is a backup control device for non- condensable gases (NCG) generated by other facility emissions units.

  • Emissions unit shall not include the open burning of agricultural biomass.

  • Emissions unit B003 (Boiler No. 8) is a wall-fired, pulverized coal-fired boiler (Alstom/Combustion Engineering) having a maximum heat input capacity of 505 million Btu per hour, capable of firing number 2 fuel oil as backup fuel, and is a backup control device for non- condensable gases (NCG) generated by other facility emissions units.

  • Emissions unit eligibility should be revoked and applicable from the day when such a Council decision is taken in response to a severe offense, except in cases described in paragraph 10.9. Units cancelled before or after this decision date should be ineligible for use to meet CO2 offsetting requirements in the current compliance period, and also any subsequent compliance periods, as applicable.

More Definitions of Emissions unit

Emissions unit means any part of a stationary source which emits or would have the potential to emit any pollutant subject to regulation under the Clean Air Act.
Emissions unit means any part of a stationary source that emits or would have the potential to emit any regulated NSR pollutant and includes an electric utility steam generating unit. For purposes of this chapter, there are two types of emissions units:
Emissions unit means any part or activity of a stationary source that emits or has the potential to emit any regulated air pollutant or any hazardous air pollutant. This term is not meant to alter or affect the definition of the term "unit" for purposes of Title IV of the Act, Acid Deposition Control.
Emissions unit means any part or activity of a source that emits or has the potential to emit any regulated pollutant.
Emissions unit means any part of a stationary source that emits or would have the potential to emit any regulated NSR pollutant. For purposes of this rule, there are the following two (2) types of emissions units:
Emissions unit means any part or activity of a stationary source, which emits or would have the potential to emit any regulated air pollutant (“regulated NSR pollutantfor purposes of the Prevention of Significant Deterioration program) or any pollutant listed in Appendix II. This term includes electric steam generating units. This term is not meant to alter or affect the definition of the "unit" for purposes of Chapter 26.
