Energy Consumer Checklist means the document of that name which constitutes the guidance for consumers of gas and electricity as prepared and published, from time to time, by the Authority in accordance with Article 7(5) of the Energy (Northern Ireland) Order 2003.Market Registration Code has the meaning given to it in our Electricity Supply Licence.

Our Comment: We welcome that the complaint handling standards should be common to electricity and gas and that there should be a stakeholder consultation when implementing complaint handling standards.Regarding the statutory standards we think, that there is no need to provide the details of the complaint handling procedures and redress schemes, when the general information that consumer should use third party bodies to complain could be added like stated under cipher 1.1 in the Energy Consumer Checklist.
