Factory Hand definition

Factory Hand means a worker performing general labouring duties not covered by other classifications referred to in the Wages schedule.
Factory Hand means an employee in South Australia engaged in precast concrete manufacture who is responsible for cleaning the work area as necessary, loading of trucks, general labouring (including stoning down and bagging) and assisting other production workers other than as a “Factory Hand”.
Factory Hand means an employee employed in a tyre retreading factory.

  • The rate of pay of the Factory Hand takes into consideration the multi-skilling factor of the employees and is paid as compensation for carrying out the broad range of duties including working in the stores area, performing stores work, operating polyurethane spray equipment, Coloro production, toilet partition production, assisting tradespersons etc.
