Family Friendly with respect to any Entertainment Property, Consumer Product or other Content, means that such Entertainment Property, Consumer Product or other Content is targeted to and reasonably appropriate for family audiences and consumers. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, a Motion Picture or a Television Motion Picture will not be deemed to be Family Friendly if it would receive a rating more restrictive than “G” or “PG” under the rating standards used by the Motion Picture Association of America (regardless of whether such Motion Picture or Television Motion Picture is actually submitted to the Motion Picture Association of America for rating).

As one parent who had not visited the Museum declared: ‘I think it goes against what we [consider] in terms of Natural History Museum’. This seemed to be because it included “more variety” in terms of the offer presented, i.e. “not just dinosaurs and volcanoes” and it was more “current”. Both of those opinions were reinforced through the poster being “colourful and vibrant”. As visitor numbers increased, the pilot campaign was deemed a success. As a result the Marketing team adopted a seasonal approach to their campaigns – choosing key elements of the offer for the time of year based on the public programme. In 18/19, the marketing strategy declared that the department would “continue to move away from individual product campaigns to seasonal / audience campaigns” (KA2: Marketing Plan, 2018). Evidence of this change in terms of the marketing budget has been discussed above (Figure 26). As a result, in March 2018, the Museum launched its ‘Come to Life’ marketing campaign (Figure 28).
