Firstaid Attendant definition

Firstaid Attendant means a qualified laborer, who, in addition to his regular skills, having tenure of a current certificate of competency relating to firstaid at the workplace that meets the 2013/2018 - 6 - LA-M applicable Provincial firstaid requirements for the area in which the work is being performed, is designated to administer the initial firstaid in the case of an emergency and the furnishing of ambulances shall not be a condition of employment. The maintenance of the contents and operation of the ambulance(s) or mobile firstaid station(s) shall be the responsibility of a Firstaid Attendant. Ambulances shall be used exclusively for firstaid and/or medical purposes.
