Grease Control Device definition

Grease Control Device means any grease interceptor, grease trap or other approved mechanism, device or process, which attaches to, or is applied to, wastewater plumbing fixtures and lines, the purpose of which is to trap, collect or treat FOG prior to the balance of the liquid waste being discharged into the System.
Grease Control Device. (GCD) shall mean any Grease Interceptor, Grease Trap or other mechanism, device, or process, which is attached to, or is applied to, wastewater plumbing fixtures and lines, the purpose of which is to trap or collect or treat FOG-laden wastewater prior to its discharge into the sewer system. “Grease Control Device” also includes any other District approved method to reduce FOG.
Grease Control Device means any grease interceptor, grease trap or other mechanism, device or process which attaches to, or is applied to, wastewater plumbing fixtures and lines, the purpose of which is to trap, collect or treat FOG prior to it being discharged into the public sewer. A grease control device may also include any other proven method to reduce FOG subject to the approval of the Director.

Examples of Grease Control Device in a sentence

  • No water removed from the device during cleaning shall be returned to the Grease Control Device.

  • All fixtures, equipment and drain lines located in the food preparation and clean up areas of the FSE that are potential sources of FOG discharge shall be connected to a Grease Control Device.

  • District determination there is no adequate location for installation and/or maintenance of a Grease Control Device.

  • District determination that alternative pretreatment technology is equivalent to or better than a Grease Control Device in controlling its FOG discharge.
