Green Authority definition

Green Authority means an authority on “Green” buildings, products, materials, methods or processes certified and accepted by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®), “Green” Building Initiative Green Globes®, Energy Star Rating System or any other recognized “Green” rating system.

Examples of Green Authority in a sentence

  • This Coverage Extension does not require you to pursue, nor guarantee success of, certification by a Green Authority.

  • Green Authority means an authority on Green buildings, products, materials, methods or processes that is certified and accepted by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®), Green Building Initiative Green Globes®, Energy Star Rating System or any other recognized Green rating system.

  • The additional reasonable and necessary additional cost incurred for an accredited professional certified by a Green Authority to participate in the repair or replacement of physically damaged Insured Property as Green.

  • Products, materials, methods and processes certified by a Green Authority that conserve natural resources, reduce energy or water consumption, avoid toxic or other polluting emissions or otherwise minimize environmental impact.

  • The insurance under this policy is extended to cover any reasonable upgrade or improvement to lost or damaged property for Green purposes as well as additional costs, fees and expenses incurred as part of the upgrade or improvements in order to qualify for or upgrade any Green Authority accreditation, certification, and/or qualification and/or its local equivalent.

"Perishable goods" means stock preserved and maintained under controlled conditions and sus- ceptible to loss or damage if the controlled conditions change.
