Hazardous Air Pollutants definition

Hazardous Air Pollutants or “HAP” means an air contaminant listed in or pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §7412(b).
Hazardous Air Pollutants or "HAP" means any hazardous air pollutant listed under Section 112 of the Clean Air Act, as amended.

Hazardous Air Pollutants or “HAPs” shall mean any air pollutants listed under Section 112(b) of the Act, 42 U.S.C. § 7412(b);
Hazardous Air Pollutants under Section 112(b) of the Clean Air Act; (3) "Imminently hazardous chemical substances" under Section 7 of the Toxic Substances Control Act; and (4) "Hazardous Waste" under Section 1004(5) of the Solid Waste Disposal Act or under Section 6903(5) of the Resource Recovery and Conservation Act; (5) "Hazardous Materials" as defined in the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, 49 U.S.C. Section 1801-1812, (6) "Toxic Substances" as defined in the Toxic Substance Control Act, 15 U.S.C. Section 2601-2692 and (7) all substances, pollutants, wastes, materials, chemicals and mixtures regulated under any Environmental Laws of Indiana or any political subdivision thereof or under any Environmental Laws of any other applicable state or political subdivision thereof; but the term Hazardous Materials excludes, asbestos, radon gas and lead based paint.
Hazardous Air Pollutants means those hazardous air pollutants listed pursuant to § 112(b) of the Clean Air Act, and any other hazardous air pollutants listed in § 1702.

  • Pollutant means any dredged spoil, solid waste, incinerator residue, filter backwash, sewage, garbage, refuse, oil, grease, sewage sludge, munitions, chemical wastes, biological materials, medical wastes, radioactive substance (except those regulated under the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (42 U.S.C. §§ 2011 et seq.)), thermal waste, wrecked or discarded equipment, rock, sand, cellar dirt, industrial, municipal, agricultural, and construction waste or runoff, or other residue discharged directly or indirectly to the land, ground waters or surface waters of the State, or to a domestic treatment works. “Pollutant” includes both hazardous and nonhazardous pollutants.

  • Hazardous Materials means all explosive or radioactive substances or wastes and all hazardous or toxic substances, wastes or other pollutants, including petroleum or petroleum distillates, asbestos or asbestos containing materials, polychlorinated biphenyls, radon gas, infectious or medical wastes and all other substances or wastes of any nature regulated pursuant to any Environmental Law.

  • Hazardous liquid means crude oil, refined petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gases, anhydrous ammonia, liquid fertilizers, liquefied carbon dioxide, alcohols, and coal slurries.
