Hazardous Solid Waste definition

Hazardous Solid Waste means any solid waste defined as hazardous by the Environmental Protection Agency under the provisions of the Resource and Conservation Act of 1976, as amended, and includes but is not limited to, explosives, pathological wastes, pesticides, chemicals, and other toxic materials, which are harmful to public health.
Hazardous Solid Waste means that waste defined by ORS Chapter 466,as implemented by regulation for the Env ironmental Quality Commission or regulation adopted by the Department of Env ironmental Quality.
Hazardous Solid Waste means solid waste that may, by itself or in combination with other solid wastes, be infectious, explosive, poisonous, caustic or toxic or otherwise dangerous or injuri- ous to human, plant or animal life.

  • Municipal solid waste landfill or “MSW landfill” means an entire disposal facility in a contiguous geographical space where household waste is placed in or on land. An MSW landfill may also receive other types of RCRA Subtitle D wastes such as commercial solid waste, nonhazardous sludge, and industrial solid waste. Portions of an MSW landfill may be separated by access roads. An MSW landfill may be publicly or privately owned. An MSW landfill may be a new MSW landfill, an existing MSW landfill or a lateral expansion.
