Healthcare Event definition

Healthcare Event means the occurrence of any of the following with respect to any one or more Facilities which results in a Material Adverse Effect:
Healthcare Event means, with respect to any Hospital Facility or Nursing Home Facility, either (i) the termination of the Medicare or Medicaid contract for such Healthcare Facility or (ii) the involuntary receivership or involuntary management of such Healthcare Facility by any applicable Governmental Authority.
Healthcare Event means the occurrence of any of the following with respect to any one or more Facilities which results in a Material Adverse Effect: (i) the revocation, denial, suspension or non-renewal of any license, certificate or permit required to operate Facilities (other than Facilities managed by the Borrower or any Subsidiary of the Borrower on behalf of a Person other than the Borrower or any Subsidiary thereof), with any appeal having been taken and denied, provided that, during any such appeal period the Facility at issue is able to operate; (ii) the termination or suspension of the provider agreements under Medicare Law or Medicaid Law or any other agreement or contract with any Official Body or private payor with respect to Facilities (other than Facilities managed by the Borrower or any Subsidiary of the Borrower on behalf of a Person other than the Borrower or Subsidiary thereof); (iii) the involuntary receivership or involuntary management by any applicable Official Body of Facilities (other than Facilities managed by the Borrower or any Subsidiary of a Borrower on behalf of a Person other than the Borrower or any Subsidiary thereof); (iv) the imposition by any applicable Official Body with respect to Facilities (other than Facilities managed by the Borrower or any Subsidiary of a Borrower on behalf of a Person other than the Borrower or any Subsidiary thereof) of administrative holds or similar restrictions or limitations on the admission of patients or residents (but only for so long as such holds, restrictions or limitations shall be in effect); (v) the interruption or cessation of payments or reimbursement by any applicable Official Body or private payor, with respect to Facilities (other than Facilities managed by the Borrower or any Subsidiary of the Borrower on behalf of a Person other than the Borrower or any Subsidiary thereof), but only for so long as such interruption or cessation is in effect; (vi) the cash payment in any fiscal year by any one or more of the Borrower or any of its Subsidiaries of any recoupment or demand for recoupment by any applicable Official Body or (vii) the inability of the Borrower or any Subsidiary thereof to obtain adequate professional liability insurance, as determined by the Administrative Agent in its reasonable discretion.

Healthcare Event means (i) the termination (without reinstatement) of the Medicare or Medicaid contract or license for any three or more Healthcare Facilities (other than Managed Facilities); or (ii) the involuntary receivership or involuntary management of any Healthcare Facility (other than a Managed Facility) by any applicable Governmental Authority; or (iii) the imposition by any applicable Governmental Authority, with respect to four or more Healthcare Facilities (other than Managed Facilities) in the aggregate, of administrative holds or similar restrictions or limitations on the admission of patients (but only for so long as such holds, restrictions or limitations shall be in effect).

  • Healthcare provider means a healthcare practitioner, person, or facility licensed, authorized, certified, registered, or regulated under title 33, title 63, title 68, federal law or order, or an executive order of the governor, including but not limited to any employees, agents, or contractors of such a practitioner, person, or facility, and residents, interns, students, fellows, or volunteers of an accredited school or of such school's affiliated teaching or training hospitals or programs in this state;

  • Health care professional means a physician or other health care practitioner licensed, accredited or certified to perform specified health care services consistent with state law.

  • Mental Hospital means a health care facility (or its psychiatric unit) which:

  • Hospice means a public agency or private organization licensed pursuant to Chapter 400, Florida Statutes, to provide Hospice services. Such licensed entity must be principally engaged in providing pain relief, symptom management, and supportive services to terminally ill Members and their families.

  • Health carrier or "carrier" means a disability insurer

  • Licensed health care professional means a person who possesses a professional medical license that is valid in Oregon.   • Participating Home Infusion Therapy Provider means a Home Infusion Therapy Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Acute care hospital means a Hospital that provides Acute Care Services. Adjudicate means to deny or pay a Clean Claim. Administrative Services see MCO Administrative Services. Administrative Services Contractor see HHSC Administrative Services Contractor.

  • Health services means, but shall not be limited to, examination, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, pharmaceuticals, aftercare, habilitation or rehabilitation and mental health therapy of any kind, as well as payment or reimbursement for any such services.
