The Committee may meet in “executive” sessions without Company officers or employees present.
The term Heart Valve Replacement for the purpose of the Policy excludes catheter based techniques including but not limited to balloon valvotomy / balloon valvuloplasty.
The Covered Conditions that may result in a premium discount include, but are not limited to:• Angioplasty; or• Aortic Surgery; or• Cancer; or• Cardiomyopathy; or• Coronary Artery Surgery; or• Heart Attack; or• Heart Valve Replacement; or• Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest; or• Primary Pulmonary Hypertension.
This benefit is provided on first detection/diagnosis of the Critical Illness.• Cancer including Leukemia• Stroke• Paralysis• By Pass Surgery• Major Organ Transplant• End Stage Liver Disease• Heart Attack• Kidney Failure• Heart Valve Replacement SurgeryHospitalization is not required to claim this benefit.
Heart Valve Replacement means the actual undergoing of open-heart surgery to replace cardiac valves as a consequence of heart valve defects occurring after the commencement date (or last reinstatement date) of the cover.
