Heritage Permit definition

Heritage Permit means the authorization given in writing by the municipality to make alterations, including demolition, to a heritage property;
Heritage Permit means a permit issued by the Director pursuant to this By-law allowing an Owner to take certain actions with regards to such Owner’s Property as stated thereon;
Heritage Permit means a permit issued by Council under section 33, 34 or 42 of the Ontario Heritage Act, to alter, erect, demolish or remove a building or structure.

  • The Heritage Permit Application should provide a detailed rationale for the demolition, including an assessment of the current condition of the building, and a cost comparison identifying the difference in cost to repair and restore the building versus cost to demolish and construct a new building.
