Hong Kong Law definition

Hong Kong Law. This Agreement is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong for the time being in force and the parties hereto hereby irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts in connection herewith.
Hong Kong Law means the Law of Hong Kong SAR from time to time.

  • Hong Kong means the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China;

  • Hong Kong Business Day means a day (other than a Saturday or Sunday) on which banks in Hong Kong are open for normal business, provided that where as a result of a number 8 typhoon signal, black rainstorm warning or other similar event, the period during which banks in Hong Kong are open on any day is reduced, such day shall not be a Hong Kong Business Day unless the Manager and the Depositary determine otherwise or such other day or days as the Manager and the Depositary may determine.

  • customs law means all the statutory provisions applied by the customs administration on the importation, exportation, transit or movement of goods whether or not they involve the collection of duties or taxes (or security thereof), on the enforcement of prohibitions, restrictions or control or exchange control regulations or on any other customs regime;

  • China means the People’s Republic of China, excluding, for purposes of this Agreement, Hong Kong, the Macau Special Administrative Region of the PRC and Taiwan.

  • PRC means the People’s Republic of China, but solely for purposes of this Agreement, excluding the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macau Special Administrative Region and Taiwan.

  • Switzerland means the Swiss Confederation;

  • Central Bank Rules means the UCITS Regulations, Central Bank Regulations and any regulations, guidance and conditions issued by the Central Bank from time to time pursuant to the UCITS Regulations, the Central Bank Regulations and/or the Central Bank Act regarding the regulation of undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities, as such may be amended, supplemented or replaced from time to time;

  • Brazil means the Federative Republic of Brazil.

  • Sweden means the Kingdom of Sweden and, when used in a geographical sense, includes the national territory, the territorial sea of Sweden as well as other maritime areas over which Sweden in accordance with international law exercises sovereign rights or jurisdiction;

  • State of Utah means the State of Utah, in its entirety, including its institutions, agencies, departments, divisions, authorities, instrumentalities, boards, commissions, elected or appointed officers, employees, agents, and authorized volunteers.

  • HKSAR means the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.

  • Cayman Islands means the Cayman Islands, a British overseas territory.

  • EMU Legislation means the legislative measures of the European Council for the introduction of, changeover to or operation of a single or unified European currency.

  • This law or "the law" means the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court Law embraced in

  • British Pounds Sterling means the lawful currency of Great Britain.

  • Luxembourg means the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

  • HKICL means Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited and its successors and assigns.

  • Governing Law This Agreement is governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, English law.

  • Macau means the Macau Special Administrative Region of the PRC.
