Hospital Confinement/Hospital Confined definition

Hospital Confinement/Hospital Confined means a stay of at least 18 consecutive hours or for which a room and board charge is made.

  • Hospital Confinement or “Confined” shall mean the status of staying in a Hospital as an in-patient for medical treatment upon the recommendation of a Physician for a minimum continuous period of 24 hours prior to discharge.

  • Total confinement means confinement inside the physical

  • Partial confinement means confinement for no more than one

  • Bronze hospital cover means a policy that covers hospital treatment in all the clinical categories required for a bronze policy.

  • Gold hospital cover means a policy that covers hospital treatment in all the clinical categories required for a gold policy.

  • Basic hospital cover means a hospital policy that includes the clinical categories that must be covered by a basic hospital product.

  • Confinement means total or partial confinement.

  • Hospital clinic means an outpatient care clinic operated and affiliated with a hospital and under the direct authority of the hospital’s P&T committee.

  • Congenital Condition(s) means (a) any medical, physical or mental abnormalities existed at the time of or before birth, whether or not being manifested, diagnosed or known at birth; or (b) any neo-natal abnormalities developed within six (6) months of birth.

  • Silver hospital cover means a policy that covers hospital treatment in all the clinical categories required for a silver policy.

  • URGENT CARE CENTER means a healthcare center either affiliated with a hospital or other institution or independently owned and operated. These centers may also be referred to as walk-in centers.

  • Outpatient hospital services means preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, observation, rehabilitation, or palliative services provided to an outpatient by or under the direction of a physician, dentist, or other practitioner by an institution that:

  • Inpatient hospital services means any health care service provided to a patient who has been admitted to a hospital and is required to remain in that hospital overnight, but does not include any secure forensic mental health services;

  • Hospice patient s family" means a hospice patient's immediate family members, including a spouse, brother, sister, child, or parent, and any other relative or individual who has significant personal ties to the patient and who is designated as a member of the patient's family by mutual agreement of the patient, the relative or individual, and the patient's interdisciplinary team.

  • Hospice means a public agency or private organization licensed pursuant to Chapter 400, Florida Statutes, to provide Hospice services. Such licensed entity must be principally engaged in providing pain relief, symptom management, and supportive services to terminally ill Members and their families.

  • Hospital affiliate means a corporation, partnership,

  • digital content means data which are produced and supplied in digital form;

  • Behavioral therapy means interactive therapies derived from evidence-based research, including applied behavior analysis, which includes discrete trial training, pivotal response training, intensive intervention programs, and early intensive behavioral intervention.

  • Diversional Therapist means a person who provides, facilitates and co-ordinates group and individual leisure and recreational activities. This person must be a graduate from an approved university course which includes: An Associate Diploma and Diploma of Applied Science (Diversional Therapy); Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Leisure and Health); Bachelor of Applied Science (Diversional Therapy); Diploma or Bachelor of Health Sciences (Leisure and Health); an Associate Diploma course in Diversional Therapy; or who has such other qualifications deemed to be equivalent (such as a Four-year degree, Master’s Degree or PhD).

  • Psychiatric hospital means an Institution constituted, licensed, and operated as set forth in the laws that apply to Hospitals, which meets all of the following requirements:

  • Hospital services means the clinical services provided by the Hospital and the operational activities that support those clinical services, that are funded in whole or in part by the Funder, and includes the type, volume, frequency and availability of Hospital Services; HSAA Indicator Technical Specifications means the document entitled “HSAA Indicator Technical Specifications” as it may be amended or replaced from time to time;

  • Subordinate joint force commander means a sub-unified commander or joint task force commander.

  • Acute care hospital means a Hospital that provides Acute Care Services. Adjudicate means to deny or pay a Clean Claim. Administrative Services see MCO Administrative Services. Administrative Services Contractor see HHSC Administrative Services Contractor.

  • Physical therapist means an individual who is licensed by a state to practice physical therapy.

  • Hospice Care means a coordinated program of active professional

  • Technical Contact shall have the meaning assigned to it in Section 4.2.
