Consecutive Hours. The regular hours of work each day shall be consecutive except that they may be interrupted by unpaid lunch periods. No split shifts will be implemented without the mutual agreement of the Local Union and the Appointing Authority. Each party may cancel such agreement with thirty (30) days written notice to the other party.

If an employee scheduled to work twelve (12) hour shifts works more than fourteen (14) consecutive hours within a twenty-four (24) hour period, all work performed in excess of fourteen (14) consecutive hours shall be paid at the double time (2x) rate If an employee is assigned a 40-hour variable shift, overtime and double time will apply as described above based on the shift length assigned for that particular shift and 24 hour period.
Consecutive Hours. The commencing and ending times of the workday may be altered by mutual agreement of the administration and the building teaching staff. All part-time contracts shall consist of consecutive hours of employment unless by mutual agreement. The starting and ending times shall be set by the Board for each individual contract. Regular staff meetings, regular conferences, and supplemental duties shall not be subject to this provision.
