Host or sponsor means to provide the use of a home or business to hold a political fundraising event without charging market value for the use of that location; to ask more than 25 persons to attend the event; to pay for at least a majority of the costs of the event; or to provide the candidate, campaign, committee and/or fundraiser more than 25 names to be used for invitations to the event.

P. “Indirect Lobbyist” means a person, other than a lobbyist, lobbying firm, or lobbying organization, who makes or incurs expenses totaling $5,000 or more in a calendar year for the purpose of attempting to influence one or more City matters. Payments and expenses include those made for public relations, media relations, advertising, public outreach, research, investigation, reports, analyses, studies, and similar activities if they are not required to be reported by a lobbying entity. Compensation paid to a registered lobbyist or lobbying firm for attempting to influence does not count toward the threshold.

  • Financial Sponsor means any Person, including any Subsidiary of such Person, whose principal business activity is acquiring, holding, and selling investments (including controlling interests) in otherwise unrelated companies that each are distinct legal entities with separate management, books and records and bank accounts, whose operations are not integrated with one another and whose financial condition and creditworthiness are independent of the other companies so owned by such Person.

  • Non-Lead Sponsor means the Note A-2 Holder in its capacity as the sponsor with respect to the Non-Lead Securitization Note in connection with the Non-Lead Securitization.

  • Prototype Sponsor Means the entity specified on the Adoption Agreement which sponsors this prototype plan.

  • Underlier Sponsor means S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC.

  • Out-of-network provider means any provider that is not directly or indirectly employed by or does not have a provider agreement with the contractor or any of its subcontractors pursuant to the contract between the department and the contractor.

  • Project Sponsor and “Sponsor” means an Applicant/Co-Applicants who receives a Carryover Allocation of Tax Credits and any other person who acquires an ownership interest in any owner of a project which has received a Carryover Allocation of Tax Credits from the Division.

  • University-sponsored activity means any activity on or off University premises, which is initiated, aided, authorized, or supervised by the University.

  • Sponsoring agency means Sandia; "Federal Government" or "government," in connection with government agencies or government property, shall mean the United States of America.

  • Proprietary or Sub-advised Mutual Fund means any open-end Mutual Fund for which MSIM acts as investment adviser or sub-adviser.

  • Sponsoring entity means a nonprofit corporation, nonprofit cooperative, state governmental entity, local unit of government as defined in ORS 466.706, housing authority or any other person, provided that the person has agreed to restrictive covenants imposed by a nonprofit corporation, nonprofit cooperative, state governmental entity, local unit of government or housing authority.

  • Managed Care Program means the process that determines Medical Necessity and directs care to the most appropriate setting to provide quality care in a cost-effective manner, including Prior Authorization of certain services.

  • Apprenticeship sponsor means an entity operating an apprenticeship program or an entity in whose name an apprenticeship program is being operated, which is registered with or approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship.

  • School-Sponsored Activity means any activity sponsored, recognized or authorized by the Board and includes activities conducted on or off school property.

  • Regional health planning agency means the regional agency, including the regional health planning

  • CAISO Controlled Grid has the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff.

  • Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.

  • School-sponsored media means all student media that are:

  • Non-Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has not been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.
